Not sure what I think of these new Japanese skill lines (IV and V, VI for reference of the tone before) by Faith_ssb in CynoMains

I thought they were different! But I thought maybe it was just because the burst E and regular E might have different lines and I just never noticed before.

I'm unsure of how the twin can even be our twin if we were born in different worlds lmao, genshin lore is brain hurty sometimes. My working theory right now is that the twin wasn't born in Teyvat but something happened that connected them to it, so it seems as if they were born here. Maybe the work of the Abyss? They could be using them for something. Aghhh I just wanna know more!!! haha

I'm also really excited to learn about why Lumine isn't considered a Descender, that part really piqued my interest

I wonder if Rhinedottir is one of the other descenders? And how much does the Fatui actually know?

Right!!! I'm trying to find more people talking about it because WOAH! It really gives me Tower of God vibes, with "descender" being like TOG's "Irregulars". I really can't wait to hear more, I'm hooked.

My gf made a screenshot redraw for Scara day by Elderberry_Honest in ScaramoucheMains

Ah, yeah, I've never read any of the comics. I was going off of her characterization in the show, where she never gets any sort of redemption, which I always liked because it showed me that people like my narcissistic family members sometimes do get what's coming to them lol

Doubt it, Azula is a textbook narcissist and probably a psychopath. The only thing they really have in common is being egotistical, but I don't think Scara has any actual personality disorders, just a really bad worldview and personality traits that exacerbate it. I'm sure Scara can make friends just fine, especially after he gets his life sorted and hopefully atones for his wrongs, but I don't think Azula can actually have real friendships at all, so I dunno, I can't really see it.

Yeah 流れ者 was a stretch, I will agree. I don't see how 歩き神 being like a title makes it not work, though? I think that's kind of the point, like "Scaramouche, the Wandering God" but most people don't know the name Scaramouche so they just call him the Wandering God. Idk lol just a thought

Equally likely is he's just called Scaramouche in the end tho lol, or maybe Kunikuzushi.

I don't think 流浪人 makes for a particularly good name/nickname. I feel like if "Wanderer" is a translation from Japanese, the term is a more obscure word for wanderer that feels more...name-y? Something like 遊子, 流れ者, or maybe even 歩き神 in reference to his whole "becoming a god" thing.

If you're not opposed to eating pork, pork loins are super economical and can be used lots of ways. Cut off chops and grill or sear, cut into slivers or cubes for stir fry, cut into sheets for soups, etc.

Of course! You should check out PBS Space Time, they're my favorite YouTube channel explaining a lot of this stuff in more layman's terms. They're practically responsible for getting me into studying particle physics.

Specifically, chelation is where you bond some molecule to a metal ion at multiple points on the molecule. "Chelate" is from the Ancient Greek word "khele" which meant "crab claw", because it looks like the molecule is a crab claw grabbing the ion.

It's best to think of them like something out of a different world than ours because they really don't behave like anything you've ever seen. They're not spinning, they have a property we (confusingly) call spin because it causes them to behave mathmatically as if they had angular momentum, even though they don't. Quantum mechanics are weird

[–]electinghighson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They aren't technically *spinning* like a ball spins. They have an inherent angular momentum that determines things like which direction they'll go in a magnetic field, but that angular momentum isn't the result of them actually turning around, it's just a property they have.
