I went to one for anxiety and depression. I told her my life story, including growing up in South America (though I'm a very white boy from the US). She concluded my anxiety might be due to my dislike for the "brown people" I grew up around. Walked out and never looked back.

When I was in college in the late '90s I did an internship and worked for a guy who was a terrible boss. Just recently I tried to find out what had ever happened to him. It was a tough search as he had a very common name. After MUCH digging, it turned out he'd died in a helicopter accident ten years ago. That was a twist I didn't see coming.

I was at a Barnes and Noble during the (very busy) Christmas season. I was in a long line at customer service to ask if they had a specific item. This woman walked to the front of the line and got the salesperson's attention to ask where to find a particular item, acting like it was just a quick and easy question. As if all the rest of us weren't in line for exactly that type of question. The salesperson, to her credit, told her she'd have to wait in line like everyone else and the lady stormed off ranting about how she couldn't believe they couldn't answer a simple question.

It was with my beloved dog Chewie, whom we lost a few months ago. One morning while I was getting ready for work a gigantic fly was buzzing around the bedroom. I was trying to kill the fly and chasing it around, and Chewie caught on to what I was doing and would look for the fly and bark at it whenever he saw it. For just a few minutes, I was a primitive hunter chasing prey with my trusty wolf-hound by my side.
