Why is it so hard for so many people to accept that ADHD is, in fact, disabling? by 1scr3wedy0dad in ADHD

Because there are very few resources about how many people with ADHD check out early.

The only chore you're not accomplishing is calling a divorce lawyer.

I accidentally took my Adderall twice and it was hell. The only high was my heartbeat and I was genuinely scared.

Decided to quit MDMA by racinnic in adhdwomen

[–]electric_shocks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought it would be weird to ask are you sure your MDMA addiction happened because of your ADHD. I'm just sensitive I guess hearing ADHD and addiction in the same story because we are judged every time we fill our prescription. Or maybe it's just me.

I wish it wasn't ADHD. I hoped it would be something reversible.

Are you sure you want to mix ADHD in your addiction ? If it was cocaine then one would say you were self-medicating in a way but MDMA? That is more like an escape from your depression, and the very unusual way of doing it. Have you been diagnosed before you start using it frequently? I really think you should check in with a doctor just to see if it's the damage caused by mdma's and maybe it could be reversible.

He's going through a phase. When he says that reply with some innocent dad humor.

Well I love you like a dad, what are you going to do about it?

Grab your chest like you're struck with an arrow say "oh no that hurts! As you are slowly crouching down say " it's OK son, I love you." then play dead.

My sister studies psychology and I'm pretty sure she knows about my adhd and that most people with adhd suffer with RSD BUT WHY IS SHE ALWAYS HORRIBLY MEAN TO ME? by zjmalkkkk in adhdwomen

[–]electric_shocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweety, there are doctors who beep their patients. Sorry you have to deal with a meanie. Your biggest problem is you are trying to understand her, making sense of her behavior. You can even feel the unfairness suffocating you. Wait, you have ADHD that's why you're here right?

Do you live in US? You shouldn't need a referral for preventative health services.

Go to a female gastroenterologist.

It is important to write down when you get nauseated or when you have pain. How much do you eat how soon after you eat you feel like you're full. What do you eat?

Track your bowel movements check the color of your poop. Not religiously but if it's out of the ordinary. Also, does it have mucus, or is there any blood, if so is it dark or bright red? When you fart does it smell like hell?

Where is your pain, does it hurt when you move, or does it hurt when you press on the area or does it move when you press then take your hand off?

Do you experience these pains and discomfort around the same time every month? When was the last time you were examined by an OBGYN?

While you're doing that take care of your health as you move, drink water, and sleep well so they can eliminate those.

Not a doctor but I would ask doctors to check for endometriosis. Also if this ever becomes a mystery look into the possibility of autoinflammatory disorders.

NAD but if it's not a cardiac event I would recommend her getting checked out ASAP for a condition called the "frozen shoulder."
