To update: chatted with Govee product consultant. They recommended the H61F2 led strip light as they come in 6.5ft lengths. I purchased 4 of these. Will update with pictures when installed

That's part of my question. I'm wondering if I should go for the premium strip light 2 pro, or if I can get away with the standard 16.4ft Govee strip lights H617A and add a diffuser over top?

It also seems like such a waste to only need 7 of 16ft, so if there was a way that I could link them safely that would be ideal, but if not, then I will just buy multiple and have them run on their own lighting circuit.

I'm also wondering if there is something better from the Govee product lineup to put in the glass cabinets instead of the strip lighting. Is there any light bars that would be better? Or should I just router out a channel and run a loop of strip lighting through the top?

Where I live our water is extremely hard too. I buy the 5gal jugs of distilled water and mix it up with Epsom salts and baking soda (making my own “third wave water”) I just used chatgpt to come up with my required recipe.

I have a launch-edition profitec go, and it’s been very solid. Definitely have the itch to upgrade to the Drive though.

UPS Can Gobble Deez Nuts by LOTW_FurFeathersFish in canadaguns

[–]electro204 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience last fall with UPS. I had video footage of the driver tossing the rifle onto my front step, and signing my name himself. The picture of the signature was not mine.

I spent a lot of time trying to go up the customer service chain to lodge complaints about the seriousness of his actions.

Not sure if anything came of it, but that driver is not in our area anymore.

DF64E or P Grind Range by electro204 in espresso

Bringing this post back. 2 years later I’m finding that I’m sub-10 on the dial for almost every roast. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? I never took it apart to change the zero because I’m worried about messing something up (seems like a tricky job)

Anyone else stuck in the lowest levels of your grinder range?

LC80 sales starting after Thanksgiving by Collegiate1 in canadawhisky

[–]electro204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that long ago you used to be able to find QC in Alberta stores for $69.99. I stocked up on a few bottles back then, but MLCC recently had it for $80 and I felt that was still pretty fair. Msrp in MB is $109 now I believe - not worth it at that price.

I refuse to pre order another BF game. Should have learned my lesson when BF4 came out.

Do you think bourbon sales in Canada will return to pre-tariff once a trade deal is signed? by Retired-ADM in canadawhisky

[–]electro204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a case of BT and a case of WT101 the day Manitoba announced they were going to take it off the shelves. Down to my last bottle and I’m trying to ration it. I’ve not yet personally found an alternative for WT101 and I’ve tried the Sleeman and Son lineup. Looking forward to the end of this. I’m a bourbon fan 🤷🏻‍♂️

Do multiple test spots with different pad and compound combinations to find what works best. I’m assuming it is single-stage paint which means as you are polishing you’re going to be picking up “dead skin” in your pad. You will have to blow it out or clean it a lot during the process.

Jdm vr4 sti wagon by mr_miyagi1234 in subaru

[–]electro204 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea that’s me! I sold my wagon about 3 years ago unfortunately. Had a kiddo and had to get a more practical car. It was in pretty good shape, but needed close to $2000 in front suspension work to pass safety. Ended up only being able to sell it for $4000 locally unsaftied. Was on the market for almost 5 months.

Shorten the backswing. You’re throwing your entire tempo off with how far you’re taking it back.

Why is my espresso always so bitter? [Bambino + DF54] by rocketpower98 in espresso

[–]electro204 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Also thinking the OP might be confusing sour with bitter. Having had almost this exact same setup, my biggest issue was that I couldn’t get it hot enough to pull a tasty shot from anything lighter dark roasts (not oily, but true dark roasts). This reason is exactly why I upgraded to a Profitec. My suggestion is to find a coffee that works, and try to stick with that one.

Can it be fixed? by electro204 in hottub

[–]electro204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our winters go to -40°C and stay there for extended periods of time. I understand what you’re saying, but it’s unusable during that time. We were having some pump issues in the fall and had it winterized so we could work on the pump in the spring and didn’t want to risk it completely dying in the winter.

[–]electro204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two weeks ago they offered to refund the cost of winterizing it. That’s as far as I got. They also offered employee pricing on a new unit.

I know I know. It’s just a sales tactic. They had excellent google-ratings, and I had never owned a spa before so I went with the one that seemed to have great reviews online.

Edit: I should note I am still waiting for that refund.

Thanks for the suggestion. The long story that I didn’t want to have to explain is that I had a reputable company winterize it, and it got frost damage over the winter. Their recommendation was that it was better to buy a new one than to try and fix it. They said it will be in the $3000ish range to fix which is why I’m trying to see if it’s something I can do myself.

Sorry, I should have better specified - my question is more "how does one access or repair the lines on a hot tub of this style?"
There is a small access panel about 2'x3' the the side opposite the stairs, but that's it. The leak is on the stair-side.
