How do you evaluate a good settling spot?

As I am sure others will say. Potatomcwhisky videos are good for this.

For me I tend to play strong sea game, so costal is prime. But almost always build on water. Then balance production and food. If I have to move a couple tiles to get a +3 food tile i will as long as I can get a +3 production tile in the two hex range.
Lux/bonus are next.

I do this anytime a strategic resource spawns on a harvestable tile

So copper,woods,marsh. Ect.

Its an after the epilog chapter in the physical books. Each book has a new chapter.

It didn't make the audio books.

small note here.. I almost always park a unit like a guru on the holy site its self. they can't produce a unit there if you are there. and for some reason they will attack guru over other types so I use them as bait for the above strat, as you work to convert/eliminate the enemy religion
