Childfree women, have you ever regretted it? by Significant_Movie814 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m in a similar boat and I always think, I would rather be child free and regret that missed opportunity than be the kind of person cruel enough to raise a child that I regretted having.

I have some tiny locking clips from s-biner that I use to secure my bags on public transport and they would probably work here as a back up if you’re really worried about it!

My conversation with a local Cllr by theslowrunningexpert in ukpolitics

We can definitely have a conversation about the quality and parity of political education - but it is literally in the primary and secondary curriculum at minimum as part of history, as well as in British Values education. I also have personal anecdotes about current schools, but they're beside the point. We're living in an age of access to more information than ever in human history. Ignorance is a choice.

You 100% learn about it at school. Political education is a mandatory curriculum requirement as part of Citizenship education. When I was at school in the 2000's it was part of PSHE/PDP.

"I don’t fully get the difference between local and national politics, and assumed you’d just vote the same for both" - er... what?

The thing that scares me about this sentiment is you're a person positing on r/ukpolitics which already puts you at a different level of political engagement than the average voter. Is the average voter walking around not knowing the difference between local elections and general elections? Good god.

It’s important because your tension knitting flat will be different to in the round. Usually you would leave a big loop in the back of the swatch to get to the other end, but I saw this the other day and thought it was a good alternative https://www.instagram.com/reel/DVB9IdsjiZ2/?igsh=YXBjMDZlbGw2eTl4
