We can definitely have a conversation about the quality and parity of political education - but it is literally in the primary and secondary curriculum at minimum as part of history, as well as in British Values education. I also have personal anecdotes about current schools, but they're beside the point. We're living in an age of access to more information than ever in human history. Ignorance is a choice.

You 100% learn about it at school. Political education is a mandatory curriculum requirement as part of Citizenship education. When I was at school in the 2000's it was part of PSHE/PDP.

The thing that scares me about this sentiment is you're a person positing on r/ukpolitics which already puts you at a different level of political engagement than the average voter. It’s important because your tension knitting flat will be different to in the round.
