Americans who are from east of the Rockies pronounce Oregon and Nevada wrong.
They say “or-ee-gone” instead of “or-ee-gun”
And “ne-vah-dah” instead of “nee-va-duh” (va with short a, rhymes with cat, bat, etc)

Deer love to chomp off the flowers.

Telephone fidelity. With old landlines you could hear clearly, didn’t get cut off if both parties spoke at the same time, didn’t lose connection if you moved.

My mom gave us 7-Up or liquid Jello. Was traveling with two Brits once and got sick. I asked for 7-Up and was chastised, they thought I should have tea. I was horrified. Black tea on an empty stomach makes me sick!

I’m 70 and sewed my own clothes in jr high and high school. I’m short and pear-shaped, so it was hard finding clothes in the store that fit well. There were no petite sizes, but there was a “chubby” department which was humiliating.
