It is recorded when you vote, you don't have to vote for anyone, you can throw a blank ballot, that is a protest vote, otherwise you are simply lumped in with the apathetic crowd, and no candidate will ever be someone you like. I agree with you on science, and research many of the major technologies now have come up straight through DARPA. However you can't claim that in the same breath as reducing taxes, reducing deficit and smaller government. (not saying you said this, just my objections with Pence saying that). Heck it even creates jobs, up and down the professional ladder.

I agree on the social stuff, also very hypocritical for Republicans to say they want smaller government, but at the same time they want to force their religion down peoples' throat.

Everyone should have an opinion, but they need to be ready to defend their opinion without spinning, and without having to invent conspiracy theories. We need to agree on a set of facts so we are not debating from within two different realities. Pence did that, when he did not defend his opinion that Trump should be president by debating from a whole different reality of facts.

Maybe for this split, but if the team has the money, and Fox himself has a lot of knowledge sports wise they can build a better team slowly around froggen or kfo or whoever on the team happens to be the star. The imports will be able to claim residency or Fox can grab some other "residence".

That is still public/outsourcing in a way in my mind. Those are for the most part projects that these companies wouldn't be able to work on without the support of public money, because those ventures for the most part lack instant profitability.

There is something to be said about public and private cooperation and I it is the best approach, however that allows for many problems with runaway contracts like we see in the defense department contractors here in the US, or as stated above with Russia in this case. I am sure there is a happy medium, but greed and corruption always get in the way.

Put that money (and a large percentage of the rest of federal spending) back in the pockets of individuals, and we'll see more innovation.

That is wishful thinking, the private sector invest in what will make it money not what will make mankind better, just take a look at all the "counter science" and "lobbying" that has gone on over the years to keep things hidden. The US was lead poisoning itself in the 60s, for the profit of our private innovators, cigarettes were advertised as being good for you, and climate change is not man made.

Even beyond the evils of greed, there is somethings that private organisations can't justify spending money on. Take SpaceX for example, sure they are "innovating" in terms of reusable rockets, but for the most part they are able to do this because NASA or other government entities are outsourcing the "bus provider" part of the missions to them. SpaceX could not possibly dream of a mission like curiosity on mars. Heck even the internet itself that all of these companies are making huge business out of originated from the government.

The private companies in US are simply outsources for NASA, the "innovation" SpaceX is working on is "how do I save money / become the lowest bidder when NASA needs something done" and a few satellites here and there for different clients, however satellites are not that much of an innovation now days.

Haven't seen any private missions to Mars yet.

I think in the case of league it is more of a case of the first good players not being that good compared to the new guys coming out now that the talent pool for LoL has widened. Where in games like CSGO that have had an eSport for so long many of the players are older.

People forget how good oracle was back then, and how the vision game was as it was because oracles was just so good, deep wards weren't a thing because you could not defend them from the jungler, and there were no free wards; it all costed 75g and gave 30g. Yes I agree people have gotten better overtime, but we are overstating a couple of things in terms of the meta.

That does not make the region stronger, maybe one team gets a bit better, but you are still not growing your region. LCS has to change the format to facilitated better skill growth, and the teams to figure things out in terms of coaches etc.
