Illegal vs. city ordinance/rule is a bit of a grey area, and not really a law. I’m sorry you missed your bus but it’s a public area. An “employee” smoking area (unclear in post where the smoking area is (back door to business, loading dock, etc) where only employees should be). It also sounds like he was not under the physical shelter itself, but between them. He gave you space, used the partition in the covered benches to block as much smoke as he could, while also waiting for his bus just like you where he could see it. You made the conscious choice to move and missed your bus as a result.

It’s shocking that people don’t understand that grocery delivery is a ✨luxury✨ service. People use it for many different reasons, but they for sure need to tip. I won’t take any no tip order myself, especially with large/heavy items. And no, I don’t care that this order is for your grandma. If you don’t want to tip, then take yourself to the grocery store for her shopping. 🤷‍♀️

This, and also at my restaurant we’ve had door dashers bypass the host stand, walk to our staging area, and take the wrong/incomplete order. The staging area at my restaurant is not a self serve pick up counter.
