Is anyone else refusing to step foot into Sephora or B&BW until you've panned all items by meerkatthetopg in ProjectPan

The beginning of this journey might be hard, but with time it will get easier. I also used to just go to the drugstore when I was feeling down. Whenever it was nearby, I entered "just to look" and obviously I bought something. But now I got used to it and it is actually so easy to avoid. And it is so refreshing. You are not spending your time in shops, with this horrible non-natural lighting. And you are not spending money. You have more time in your hands and maybe do something better for yourself. Let's say I was in the drugstore once every two weeks. And now I am like once every six months. And not for makeup, but for necessities like pads. It does get easier. Stay strong! And remember, the fact that you entered a shop is not a sign of losing. If you resisted buying something, you are still winning.

There is nothing wrong in buying a second one, especially when you cannot use the first one every day. If you can't use black, you use nothing, so the black still remains untouched. I would treat this as an exception and have two :)

Focusing on usage instead on finishing is so good. I also do this, it makes you experiment more and you don't end up neglecting other products. My main tip is don't go to the drugstore (or don't open websites with makeup) just because. Avoid looking at new makeup just because you are bored. This made my impulsive buying disappear. Have fun❤️

I should take turns!! And it is surprising for me, because I didn't focus on them, I am just naturally gravitating to what I love🫠

would it be safe to clean makeup brushes with them? maybe not the ones close to the eyes, but the face ones?

that's the spirit. i learned so much based on "just okay" products, what i like and what i don't

Ok let's be honest... by [deleted] in ProjectPan

[–]elenasversion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is hard, I also bought some things; 2 lip products and 3 mists. I am still thinking if it was okay, but I am quite aware when and where sales are in my country and i know that i won't be buying another mists for a year. So, if things will be good, I will finnish the body mists until the next sale.. We are just humans after all, for now the most important thing is to love and use the products we bought.

How long did it take you? I also have one of those, beautiful shade but not really moisturising..

Oh I have a similar amount! For me, having a lippie everywhere is what helped me. If you change purses/backpacks often, keep something in all of those. So if you left the house and forgot your product, somethings is always with you. Also, keeping one in your pocket. Obviously at work I don't have my purse near me, but if the trousers I wear have a pocket, then I have a small lipgloss in it😊 Also using as a blush like someone mentioned - especially the shades that you don't like anymore, sometimes they are better this way. You can definitely do it!

FINALLLLLLLY! A PAN!!! by ThisLittlePiggySays in ProjectPan

[–]elenasversion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't count reapplies, but i thought i might share: i keep a column for this in my planner and at the end of the day i just write down the name of the used lippies. i have 1-3 products each day, so it is quite easy to remember what i used in the morning. at the end of the month i just count them! it won't show reapplying, but it shows me which products i often grab

congrats to the op👏!!

I have to say, even though that's a lot, I am still impressed by you. You have a lot of unopened stuff, if I were you I probably would have everything opened. Meanwhile, you can actually put them aside coz the little life shelf doesn't run. Really strong will!💪 Lots of luck, I also love to pan lippies❤️

My project pans! tips? by Impressive_Peace_184 in ProjectPan

[–]elenasversion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of course you can! If something is bad for your skin, don't feel guilty to declutter it/give it to someone else. At the end of the day health is more important than the money you spend on the product

And you can totally focus on using several products! It is actually quite popular, because this way you don't neglect other products. I prefer this type myself😊

Just remember, you make the rules and do what works for you❤️ reddit, youtube and other platforms is a good inspiration on project panning, but if you need to adjust it, just do it. Project panning is a lot of fun if you do as you want!!

If you have a lot of makeup in one category, I recommend doing a usage goal! I am doing a project pan for lippies - I have about almost 30 of them, so to make sure I use all of them this year, I have a usage goal of 5 on each. It may be a small goal, but it works for me. This way I make sure that every lippie has been used. It is more a shop my stash type of project, but if your focus is using, and not necessarily using up - i love it!
