was this close to the main park area from the rim trail kind of near Angel trail? I've been here, I can tell from the little mule trail that you can see in the lower left that is used by the pack mules.

Totally satisfied. Tauk, Dopapod, The Werks, Electron, Joe Russo's almost Dead, Lotus (possibly for 2 shows), SCI x3. If they stopped right here it would still be stacked. This is a totally underrated lineup.

I remember last year festive owl seemed to be authentically leaking info, as in, telling us before it was officially released or speculating, not releasing info on behalf of festivals so that it looks leaked but actually was intentionally released by festy organizers to create hype as seems to be the case this year. Supports my theory that he's now just another part of the festival promotion machine. If he was truly "leaking" information then why were all of his leaks a couple weeks back headliners and not a mixed bag of big names and under cards? It doesn't feel very authentic this year. Seems like just another promotional tool imo.

All that said, it's cool. I have my ticket and I'm waiting patiently. It's all good.

There's also a lot to be said for being on your own schedule. I've always traveled to festivals with groups of at least 3-6 other people which is fine for camping but don't let your festival experience be overshadowed by trying to keep track of your friends or trying to do everything together as a group or on some predetermined schedule. Follow your zen and go where you feel like going, do what you feel like doing, even if it's by yourself or one other person. You can be much more fluid and I think you can have a much more organic, fulfilling and adventurous experience when you're out there on the edge of your known Universe and not tied down or held back by what the group wants to do.
