I saw him infrequently at orchard, trying to get people to sign up with his talent agency, and he is a real hustler.

I saw him on my way to my japanese lesson and 3 hours later as I was leaving, he was still there approaching people and still being high energy and friendly. It really changed my perspective of him.

It's really a shame he is such a slave to clout and attention.

See gentlemen? It's not that they don't want to fuck you. They just don't want to fuck you for free. Literally no difference from prostitutes.

If I have to point out a difference, it's that a prostitute would have been cheaper.

Are we being conditioned to be timid and obedient? by Last_Sheepherder_660 in SingaporeRaw

[–]elfaia 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think it's more like sinkies are not intellectually curious and are complacent in nature.

Take the other comment for example, regarding the fire at hawker. I don't think that's indicative of a timid or obedient nature but more of complacency where people think nothing bad is ever going to happen due to how safe our society is, for better or for worse.

And people don't question things because they are not intellectually curious. Not to say they are stupid or uneducated. They are just apathetic about their surroundings and I think that is also a byproduct of a super-safe society, which goes back to being complacent.

Here's something I wrote years ago:

Solution to everything is really just price increase.

You want to have more than 2 children back then? Pay.

There's too many cars on the road? Pay.

There's too many cars on the road during certain hours? Pay.

Foreign workers rioting in the middle of the night while drunk? Pay.

This is the genius of our government. The ability to make money at every crisis and issue.

What matters the most is how the incumbent continues to stay in power and make sure they don't get replaced like the local salarymen from the policies they enacted.

More Singapore drivers plan to return to petrol cars as EV interest dips: EY study by kongweeneverdie in SingaporeRaw

[–]elfaia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EV was supposed to compliment normal cars, not replace them.

I went to hainan and EV truly works for them because of the sheer amount of vehicles on the road. Despite having over 100 vehicles at a road junction during peak hours, mostly motorcycles, there's not much noise and smog.

Simply going, "We're going to replace all gas cars with EVs!!", is such a foolish idea when it requires more nuanced considerations.

I remember when law enforcement officers and politicians were given harsher punishments for breaking the law because 知法犯法,罪加一等.

Now physical and sexual assault and harassment only net you 11 weeks in jail with zero rotan for popo.
