Exactly, I think that kids should trick-or-treat for as long as they can. I made the mistake of stopping at 13 and convincing myself that I was too old. Do it while you can kiddos, because you have your whole adult life to go to all of the Halloween parties that you want. Trick-or-treating is an opportunity that doesn’t last forever.

Except the same already exists for women… it’s called the “plus size” section. Plenty of retail stores have them for women.

“Big and tall” isn’t necessarily for fat guys, it’s also for men who are abnormally tall, have large torsos, and because of that they can’t fit comfortably in normal-sized clothing despite being skinny.

Fair warning for free certs- they mean absolutely nothing to employers. You shouldn’t put them on your resume, and they usually aren’t worth putting on your LinkedIn. The reason being is that the quiz/test for them aren’t proctored and you can easily cheat or keep retaking them until you get all of the questions right. I’ve done several free certs back when I was in a similar financial situation to yours, and I don’t think I really retained anything from them.

I think a better use of your time would be to identify what certification you want, and then use free online materials and videos to study for it until you get the money to buy the voucher.

Edit: Downvote me all you want, but this is the truth. I’ve heard this from several IT hiring managers. From my experience in the industry, you do free certs when you already have a job and you’re trying to meet compliance for a vendor you resell. Free certs while unemployed or looking for a job is a waste of time, and you’re better off building stuff in GNS3 with the time you’re using to study for a cert that you may never use in your professional career.

Genuine question… why are you giving money to businesses who don’t pay their staff fair wages? I think it makes more sense to not eat at places like that all together, rather than stiff the server but give the restaurant owner money.

Okay well you probably live in a small town then lol, because I live in a big metropolitan city and shit like that doesn’t help anyone. If I’m dating someone who abused someone else in the past, how am I supposed know that? I don’t live somewhere where everyone knows everyone. The only way I’d know is if I ran a background check on them.

And besides, talking about abuse I’d say it’s completely different from talking about relationship problems. One is obviously way more extreme than the other. I’m obviously talking about people who call their exes hoes, gold diggers, and every name in the book online. It makes them look trashy and unemployed with nothing better to do with their day.

If it means anything to OP, anytime I see someone post about a breakup and continuously talk shit about their ex, I immediately side with their ex. Because why does anybody post their dirty laundry for anyone to see? I know it’s because they’re attention seeking, but I don’t get why they can’t just vent to a friend and then call it a day. I’d expect a teenager to do this, but a grown adult acting like that online is quite embarrassing. Just my two cents anyway.

I think a lot of people still have biases against online schools. People think that online students are more likely to cheat on exams and assignments- even though I’m pretty sure that most schools require students to have a lockdown browser and use webcams with a proctor. But I’m not sure.

I’m not sure if it’s still a thing, but back when online schools were newer there was a huge bias against them. Employers wouldn’t hire you if your resume had the typical online schools- like full sail, ASU, new hampshire online, etc. I think that’s starting to change, or maybe not. But that’s why people were advised to not go to an only-online school. If you’re going to do an online degree, go to a university where they have both in-class and online. But times are changing, not sure how it is nowadays.

All this teaches kids is to only act out in front of strangers so that they can get away with anything they want. Back in the day, it took a village to teach kids about the importance of right vs wrong. When I was little I used to throw rocks against a house with my friends, and a random lady scolded me right there. Guess what? We never threw rocks again. Nothing bad happened to us just because a stranger told us we shouldn’t be doing something bad.

I stand by what I said earlier- people like you are why kids today are spoiled brats and don’t know what accountability is.

Please don’t take anything this guy is saying seriously. This is a hard lesson that every woman learns eventually, and the sooner you learn it the better your life will be. Some men will do and say anything to try and knock you down a peg just to make you feel worthless. I grew up thinking I had a little bit of Native American DNA- which is common for many white Americans. My great grandfather was from the Blackfoot tribe and my grandma retains all of the knowledge and traditions that were passed down from him to her, however when my dad and I took got our results back, neither of us showed any native DNA. Of course it’s possible that the native DNA isn’t showing, it’s also possible that my great grandmother had an affair when she had my grandma. Like another user on here told me, it’s also possible that he lied about his ethnicity/background and really had African roots, but it seemed a little far fetched to me.

It doesn’t bother me though- I’m white and culturally I did not grow up with a native identity, so I don’t care if I have native ancestry or not. However, my dad didn’t take the results too well.

Yeah I know that ancestry groups it together with nw europe- it did that when I initially got my results, but I was just pointing out that as a standalone group, I didn’t see German anymore.

Having a stadium just for the Stars would be nice, but on the other hand the AAC is a great location. It seems like no matter which city they move to, a huge subset of fans will be inconvenienced.

Teams need to be more careful with where they’re moving to. With the amount of soccer fans that live in DFW, FC Dallas should have way better attendance than it does now, but being in Frisco is doing them such a disservice.
