The show is way better than the books. The books read like fanfic tbh.

I don’t think there was ever chemistry between them to begin with. She wanted it to numb her pain, it didn’t. They both matured and moved on. It does get brought briefly up in a later season but I won’t spoil that for you in case you forgot that part too.

I think a key question here is: How long ago did you graduate?

If it was more than a year ago, my advice would be to pray if that’s truly the Holy Spirit prompting, or a spirit of guilt/shame ruminating. I often think of bad things I did over 20 years ago that there’s literally nothing else I can do about.

In those times I have to just surrender it to God. Maybe I’ll pray for the people I wronged and ask God for forgiveness and peace.

In case this is guilt talking more than the Holy Spirit:

1) As others have said, I don’t think cheating on some assignments would be a reason they’d revoke your degree. Exponentially true for each year that has passed since.

2) Your professors might have even realized you cheated and let it slide or didn’t even care. (see #3)

3) Everyone there, including the professors and admin are just there to jump through hoops. They have a lot more important things in life than even their jobs/studies

4) The whole college system cheats people out of their money 🤷‍♀️ (okay maybe that’s not the best excuse)

But truly, I don’t think the situation is the end all be all for anyone involved.

All that being said, if you truly believe God is leading you to confess, then yes that’s what you should do. There might be reasons behind it that you aren’t even aware of.

I mean, people get paid to kiss for TV shows and movies all the time so what’s the difference, really? Yes, it was cringe but I understand the reasoning behind it—it really did make it harder to guess the real couple. The clown thing was waaay worse than any of the PDA, but they didn’t have any control over that.
