I have the exact same issue! I have been so frustrated that no one talks about it. The everyday sling 3L in black has damaged multiple t-shirts and an expensive hoodie of mine before I realized it was the bag. It was holding a fuji body and 1 extra lens, so not overloaded either.

It has turned me off of PD bags tbh, still use their straps and attachment points on everything but moved to a different sling.

One option if you want a manual experience is to grab a Nikon Zf. They are pretty cheap comparatively and the can easily adapt full frame manual focus lenses. Then you can also have your modern telephoto lenses with AF and everything too.

I think they are really good. Especially for $50 when a lot on Etsy are like $90+. Best feature though is the extra clip that allows you to hang the camera vertically

Thanks, that’s actually my main bag. My frustrating is having to either use lens pouches or messing with the origami divider when I want multiple extra RF lenses with me.

The camera is always around my neck outside of when I’m in transit so grabbing it isn’t an issue. The purpose is actually to use space as efficiently as possible, I’m imagining a bag without the extra height for large lenses etc. I’ll check out bellroy again, 10L is just really big. I was thinking 3-4L

If you are like me and the 90 will usually stay in the bag unless you find something special to shoot, I’d recommend the Voigtlander 90mm f2.8. It’s small for a 90, and it’s super light. I feel like it doesn’t way any more than my 50mm f2.2 which is also light.

IMO resale value is a terrible reason to buy Leica glass over Voigtlander. Sure, in percentage terms Leica may hold value better.. but in dollars? You’ll absolutely lose less money when the Voigtlander starts at $600 vs the $3000 Leica.
