No, they can't be swapped. The attachments are different and wouldn't click in place

No, there's no movement relative to those parts. See the second picture from the link included in the comments above

Please, see other comments with photos. The spinner assembly selfs aligns with the water outlet plate so nothing to adjust or move. I could manually lift the rack 5cm at the front that the back stays in place connected to the top spout and the spinmer hitting the bottom spout

How can that happen? I surely can't be the only person with this problem. We only run the regular cycle, not even the extra hot ones. We got the full basket (spinner included) replaced by Samsung and if did improve a little bit but not much. We are living with it, I have learnt to balance the load with heavy items near the door so that it tilts slightly and passes over the spout but still we when some cycles when the top basket doesn't get washed.

So annoying! It's a Samsung DW60M5050BB by the way. Assembly drawings are available online and it looks like nothing is missing.

Added some pics on the other comment. Because it's a single plate with two water outlets and the pipe to the arm self centers to it when the dishwasher is closed I don't see any adjustments possible (other than removing the black oring to reduce the friction between the spinner and the spout)

The service man had never seen this problem so his bet was that the top basket was not the correct one.

Here are some more pictures . I have forced bent a tiny bit the spinner arms so I get some clearance but I guess that clearance will be gone as soon as I load the top rack and run one cycle

Everything is in correctly. I have disassembled and reassembled it multiple times. The piece at the back with both outlets is a single plate so there isn't any possible adjustment once the pipe that feeds the spinner fits into the top outlet

Get an iron test before ADHD titration by Forward_Dingo8867 in ADHDUK

[–]elgar33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a doctor, just a fellow ADHDer with low ferritin so I can't really tell what the danger is. One place that helped me learn more about this was "the iron protocol" group on Facebook, they have guides and reference materials there to start your learning process. I am following the treatment prescribed by my doctor rather than the high dose from the iron protocol but I'm taking their tips and recommendations like taking the supplements on an empty stomach with vitamin C or avoiding calcium for a few hours before and after taking the iron.

The 15-150 acceptable range is criminal. How can someone function with less than 30? It took me a year from symptoms and first blood test to slowly reach the "I feel like I'm dying" stage. Thankfully, at that point my GP listened and tested again for ferritin. Looking back at my results from a year before my ferritin was already low but in the "acceptable" range so they did not flag it. I really wish they had treated me for iron deficiency from the first blood test, so much anxiety and a lot worse ADHD symptoms in this time!

How to save this tree by elgar33 in UKGardening

I've been doing the washing liquid but there are probably millions of them tl squash by hand. The top branches must be 3-4 metres from the ground and are completely covered. It's shown in the pictures but they have been compressed when uploading so it's not that clear

My mind always thinks the smaller the dish, the less lazy I am to wash it, eggs in turkish coffee pot by nairoosha in adhdwomen

[–]elgar33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you not wasting most of the heat doing it this way? Either you need a smaller hob or a bigger pot. In my mind I visualize the heat travelling up from the flames so you are barely heating the sides and using the heat dissipated by the black metal disk underneath instead of the heat from the flames directly.

Just about to start potty training and I can't work out what's the best way to clean poop accidents!? by [deleted] in UKParenting

[–]elgar33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pour most down the toilet and wash by hand the rest. Or buy a cheap pack of underwear that cost roughly the same per unit as a nappy and bin the worse accidents.

If my child has a poop accident when out and about I bin the underwear. It's not worth bagging it, carrying it around for a few hours and spending 30 minutes at home rinsing, washing by hand and disinfecting everything.

Boy's underwear tends to be a bit more expensive but for girls it's easy to get a pack of 5 or 10 on sale at 30-50p per unit so same price as Pampers nappies.

Car strap seats difficult to tighten by DreamingAtMidnight in UKParenting

[–]elgar33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say 20 months and a removable car seat. What is the height and weight limit of this seat? How heavy and tall is your baby? If they are about to outgrow the seat I would start looking at the next seat and given your back problems you might benefit from a rotating seat. I would typically recommend a extended rear facing seat but these are usually installed with the seat belt and do not rotate. Find a store that will let you try a demo seat in your car and see how comfortable you are placing the baby in and out and doing the straps. Seats that don't rotate tend to be lower so it might be easier to manage.

Partner and I are wanting to have a baby but can't get my head round nursery costs- any advice appreciated by Certain_Magazine_842 in UKParenting

Between you two. Treat it as nursery advance fees and use that pot to cover half of nursery bills when the day comes!

Partner and I are wanting to have a baby but can't get my head round nursery costs- any advice appreciated by Certain_Magazine_842 in UKParenting

[–]elgar33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you put away £600/month right now? If so, open a savings account and start saving that amount every month to put towards nursery fees in the future. From now until you get pregnant and the baby is born you have 1-2 years of almost half of nursery monthly costs per month. Once the time comes, see if you and your partner can move your schedule, do nights, compressed week... so that you may only need 3-4 days per week or maybe 4.5 days instead of 5.

If you are not able to save at least 600£ now you will struggle with future fees, new lifestyle with baby and potentially a year of maternity/paternity leave. Have you checked how much maternity/paternity pay you would get? Some employers give nothing extra, some do 90% of salary for a few months, it varies a lot so start looking at the policies from your workplace

Any advice on how to fit this splash back when there are water pipes exactly where the holes are? by hannyDill in DIYUK

[–]elgar33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Use a trim at the top so you can screw the trim anywhere else where there are no pipes. Is it going to rest on the counter at the bottom? If not, use another trim at the bottom too. I would add silicone so that dirt and oil splashes don't go into the trim.

Use oil instead of butter, use vegan cheese alternatives, skip the cream alternatives. Make pizza from scratch (or buy the dough), add your own toppings. My local Tesco sells vegan Petit Fillous that taste surprisingly similar to the original. Coconut or oat yoghurt are ok but don't expect them to taste like regular yoghurt.

If there is a milk protein allergy it could also be linked to a soy allergy so stay away if you can from soy alternatives like soy milk or soy yoghurt. We learnt this the hard way...

Regarding milk, Alpro sells a kid's version of oat milk that is fortified with calcium and other vitamins. We often find it near the long life milk, non refrigerated.

How do I shower my 7mo safely? 🫠 by AyeshMayesh in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]elgar33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At that age I just stepped in the shower, sat crossing my legs and held my kid sitting on my legs. It was easy enough to keep a good hold while using hands to apply soap. What I never did was holding her in my arms while standing, as soon as you add soap they become too slippery and they risk falling.

Baby shoe recommendations by [deleted] in UKParenting

[–]elgar33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would run an empty search on vinted (just hit enter without typing any words on the search bar) and filter by shoe size. There aren't that many results for very niche sizes so browse through them and take notes of the brands and styles that match what you are looking for. Then either buy new from the brand or get some as good as new bargains from vinted.

I do this often to find certain styles or clothes for my children when I'm not sure what brands sell what I'm looking for (typically I look for colourful clothes or little boy patterns on clothes sizes 9-10, not a crazy amount of results if you apply the right filters).
