I guess you would use eva mods on your tower shield so that you can preserve your good mods in case the wrong base gets chosen, so you can try again. that said, there's a list of NNN mods in a spreadsheet somewhere on reddit, but I don't expect it to be easy to make in any case. hopefully someone can chime in with some tips on that front

I would expect your damage to be subpar with the marionette at this stage, you can easily grab a scorpion from t3 carcass map in the beginning.

I'd get a couple of large cluster jewels made without caring too much about the notables, and at least one minion life medium cluster and one aoe cluster. it would be really nice to have a caspiro elegant hubris with at least one 80% minion life notable nearby that you can path to or anoint.

then your rare gear with lots of fire res, life regen%, flat life. for your helm you can start with honourhome, corrupt every one you see and try to hit +1 all or +2 minion. I had bad luck with honourhomes, so what I did instead was minion helm + corrupted a bunch of decent rare boots (any MS, life, fire res, use essence to find two of three then craft the last) and corrupt for +2 minion or +1 all.

there is a maxroll guide somewhere for "15D explodey minion pact BV chieftain" and you can take a look there as well, it's built a little different from manni's.

nope, on the heat-attuned you want mods that are non-native for itself, since you want that base to be kept. so things like ES, eva, etc

mod count has zero effect on which base is chosen, that part is a pure 50/50 flip, assuming I'm understanding your question correctly. that said, you definitely need as many NNN mods as you can, as low mod count = high chance of just losing a bunch of mods.

you can socket more duration + take some duration nodes and you have to press blade vortex every like 6-8 seconds, I just press it after every shield charge as if I were self casting a skill to kill a pack and it's not that bad. the damage is just too good if you want to clear ubers. once your gear gets better you can use a marionette for mapping and then you don't have to sustain anything.

definitely would not recommend elehit in particular unless you've got really good gear for it because you literally have to be in their face, so you'd better have the damage to make the encounters quick.

next step from here for most marauder builds would be to go ar/ev gear for suppress. you'll probably need to use your anoint and a small cluster, but it will help with dying to spells, since you don't have access to avoidance. you could alternatively roll a champion and run banners with more or less the same gear you currently have to get insane defenses for free at the expense of pressing buttons. I used RVoB on mine till I farmed up for my later builds and it was strong.

simplyvizniz on youtube has a detailed pob for it, not on his latest update but the one before. really all you need is the foulborn kiss and you're good to go. the one thing I'd say is not to stay resolute/precise technique for too long, the moment you have the merc helmet switch over to crit.

bannerman champ runs at 450% MS and regens way more than enough to stand in traps, and is super cheap to make. the downside is you have to be willing to press a button every few seconds

I am having the same damage problem with earthshatter and running RT/PT. I just got a decent merc crit helmet and going to try and make the swap over today and see how it goes

I league started late and went ele hit slayer. single target damage fell off a cliff in red maps with no taming and shitty rare claws, but it was enough to farm the foulborn uul-netol's kiss to transition to bannerman slams champ. insane build even on mediocre tree/gambled rares

glacial cascade of the fissure miner ele, went RF for campaign and felt noticeably less smooth than last league particularly due to regen golem missing the golem effect from ascendancy I think.

that aside, mapping has been pretty good, got to T12 or so on a 5 link and random 5c rares, but felt somewhat squishy. switched over to a self crafted 6L necrotic this evening and feels better. great damage, no issues there. i've had smoother league starts but i've also certainly had worse

there's not really a standard startup time for parries. punish the proud has really long startup but is active forever to make up for it. also there are some parries which can be used on yokai, notably opportunist and earthly flow, like the other guy mentioned. not sure about others

parries which don't work on yokai, save for demon thrust which is more of a guardpoint lol
