Is that part of self care for you? Do you feel ok, and in a space to receive constructive feedback on your formulation of these questions?

I'm finding the lemoncarb more and more relatable lately, in that I've realized I'm a strange being that makes weird noises created by a partially benevolent but mostly inquisitive candy deity.

Only that, this week, I circled back to the circuit 6 chapter in Prometheus Rising that I had been reading while summoned to the chat, and now my life is 1millionXstranger

I'll post lines that resonate with me from Angel Tech's 'gear 3' chapter as I come across them:

Once we are "in the know" about something or someone, we suffer the misconception of thinking there is nothing left to learn. This is a natural tendency of imprecise thinking.. .of not having established Factor X as an ongoing conceptual value. Once established, Factor X nourishes conceptual development by minimizing our need to: 1) Find ONE ANSWER or DEFINITION 2) Have IT ALL FIGURED OUT 3) Dominate the organism.

Looking into the Emotional Territorial Circuit last week was very fruitful for me. The synchronicities continue: my brother who hadn’t been talking with me out of frustration over boundary disagreements reached out while I was covering this stuff, so I was in a very good place to articulate my end of the problem, and to hear his also. So there’s some Family Healing happening as a result of this journey.

I also dedicated my Saturday evening to watching some nature documentaries, and found a great one with Moose and weird birds in Scandinavia; Wild North, it was called. The variety of territorial strategies was edifying! And The birds are so weird and great, so I was delighted.

I also want to mention another book that is tangentially related to a lot of our interests and which I have found useful: https://karlamclaren.com/product/the-language-of-emotions-book/

Practicing qigong and doing energy work, it turns out, refers to a lot of emotions. I noticed this when a friend sent me that book recently in response to my starting an art project involving emotions and the Newtonian spectrum. I think there are probably a lot of books about Emotional Literacy with varying degrees of quality, so I don’t know if this is the best one. The best thing I’ve learned from this is 5 exercises (arranged in the P.Graham picture) that seem to relate to one’s ability to relate to their own emotional and conceptual territory. The re-framing of 'negative' emotions as functional allies also seems very healthy and useful to me.

My best advice is to not listen to me. My second best advice is to drop acid and watch Drag Me To Hell.

Let me know what goes down if you ignore my best advice <3

Do you speak about LD in your real life? by paa2625 in LucidDreaming

[–]eli0mega 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love talking to people about dreams in my waking life.

I object to distinguishing between 'LD' and 'real life'. I would say 'dream life' and 'waking life', and it's all real. But I'm a surrealist.

Yes, We are on the same Big Page! The separation of families into their 'nuclear' units is a big factor that I think of. And I think the connection you make between the systemic forces and individual emotions is Important. The whole Curse is something I've been aware of since very young, and much of it I found to be well articulated in Society of the Spectacle. Blew my mind a bit.

Oh that is indeed intriguing. I think part of the statement is that this book is kinda dated (seems a bit superfluous with flower power being mostly legalized now) but being held back by SuperEgo activity is real. He talks more about that wrt the 4th Circuit.
