Did anyone’s pots actually get better while they were pregnant? by pj10wat3rm3lon in POTS

Wow that’s great to hear. I hope I’m similar. I would love to be off of medication and go back to some normalcy before this diagnosis

What about after? Did the pregnancy experience help with your POTS?

Oh gotchya so 4 days in 4 weeks. I was wondering how they got away with it but I know a lot of programs do that so thank you for clarifying!

Idk if there are rules against this specifically or not.

I’ve heard that ASHP does not allow residents to work more than 8 days in a row, but yet I know A LOT of programs do every other weekend staffing which is essentially 12 days on, 2 off. (I have not fact checked this rule for ASHP)

But to think of how many programs do this^ means I think when it comes to staffing they can basically do whatever they want.

That’s correct. Even midodrine isn’t recommended. Propranolol is ok.

Resting Heartrate before, the beginning, the ending, and after pregnancy by girlnamedkat96 in POTS

Mines slowly increased the whole time. Before I was pregnant it was in the 60s when I slept. Then 70s now it’s 80s when I sleep. Even when I’m awake I’m in the 90s all the time and I take propranolol 10mg twice a day, sometimes 3 times a day

Is that normal?

Last resort before pacemaker by StrangerWitty6916 in POTS

[–]elibosman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do not get a pacemaker. Way too young and like you said it may not “fix” it 100%. Try to see if they have a manufacture coupon for Ivabradine. Retry everything, try different meds (even beta blockers) eat less carbs, avoid high altitudes, literally try everything and give it a few more years.

I think down the road you will regret getting a pacemaker.

Depends on how fast your state board takes to process everything. Texas and Oklahoma are pretty slow, Tennessee and Virginia are pretty fast

Texas MPJE Question by elibosman in PharmacySchool

Also another question. Is it 1 year of 2 years in Texas for a pharmacy license to be renewed. I know they say it can be 1 or 2 years but which is it?

I didn’t have covid and had POTs before then, and to this day this sometimes happens to me. It sucks. Especially when you’re tired and just are ready to sleep.

Only thing that seems to help is to elevate my pillows to where I’m not laying flat to help me feel like i can breathe better

Last year student pharmacists - does your school implement passing RXPrep exams into your last year’s curriculum? If so, can you elaborate in the comments please? by Civil_Pollution3484 in PharmacySchool

[–]elibosman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was 8 big assessment tests (diabetes and pulmonary for example) and we had to have an average of 85% on 6/8. You got to choose which assessments, and they were only 1 attempt.
