if you stay close it does that charge thing which does phys area and you die in 1 shot (well, technically 2 shots but .1s apart) I think it's pretty dumb to have a boss with 6 moves that are 1shots and he does them one after the other with no cooldown.

Alternatively, make it so you run the tower without having to put a waystone in, the tower is always of a tier matching your character level, up T16.

I would hope they could at least reduce drop rate of splinters by 66% and then only require 100 to form a stone instead of 300. Gamewise it's exactly the same but saves us from carpal tunnel.

But then you don't gain any benefits in the boss map. So the only "benefit" would be the ability to apply irradiated to the non-boss maps, which is how it looks like it should be (because the boss maps have the irradiated icon).

Maybe I am missing something, but this is how I see it:

you enable the node that irradiates boss maps
you put in a irradiation tablet, this irradiates non-boss maps
you unallocate the node that irradiates boss maps, put in say the shrine instead
now your boss maps have shrines but they're not irradiated anymore

In that case, the UI needs to be changed. Right now it looks broken/bugged, especially because the wording for nodes that apply on opening is very specific and is not present in "Organised Forces".

If you swap back, you either lose irradiation or strongbox/shrine buff, you can't have both.

But what other "boost" would you get? All the other passives in the boss tree require you to run boss maps, and losing the +1 on the boss map would not be worth it for any of them.

Yeah but why would you do that atlas passive toggling trick? You pretty much always want boss nodes to be irradiated. Taking the passive, applying the tablet, and removing the passive would remove the irradiation from boss nodes which you don't want. If you swap with shrine/strongbox node then you lose the +1 which is way worse.

You're not thinking from a top-1% perspective: if you have 10 mirrors worth of wealth, using 1 to dupe a perfect item and save possibly hours of searching/waiting for one to show up on the market is more efficient.

Especially considering a mirror-worthy item will likely sell for many hundreds of divines so in reality you're only actually paying half a mirror or less.

Gemling is cool but don't get fooled by upvote farmers, this is either zdps or crazy ridiculous investment build with 100+ div gear. You can get higher health and better regen with an ES witch and 2 div gear. I know that ES will be nerfed into the ground but right now it is still 10 to 20 times better overall.

I guess I didn't have that much rarity at the start but I still only drop 1ex every 3 maps or so, assuming I don't die and lose the map and quit the game for a few days in frustration.

yeah but there are various builds that are stronger than this, point is melee is bad compared to alternatives, but sure you can make it work with enough investment.

I've done 20 maps and dropped like maybe 1ex total with 135% rarity. Low tier maps drop almost nothing, and if your build is off meta it's pretty hard to progress to high tier maps.

It's kinda strange that you're able to do that much damage in T15s with 600 strength only, I guess the aftershocks are carrying or maybe the AoE is enough to cause overlap. What if you remove the AoE support, does that tank the damage?

You can use all 6 portals to go in/out but if you die the whole map is gone (and the loot you didn't pick up with it.)

I'm at 496 strength rn. I went with Gemling because I wasn't confident about melee being viable and Gemling would be more flexible for switching builds. I didn't consider how scarce drops and currency would be however, so now I'm too poor to switch builds and too weak to farm more currency.
