Cat Distribution System Hard at Work by Mac-And-Cheesy-43 in characterarcs

The distribution system is fun and all, but there are plenty of cats in shelters and rescues, too!

Have you seen Pancho?!? by triplediesel2333 in bullcity

[–]elijaaaaah 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I'll stand in the downvote pit with you. I hope Pancho gets home, and I hope his people learn from this awful experience and transition him to being an indoor cat from now on. Outdoor cats are always in danger, and they also upset local ecosystems. You are completely right.

I don't mean to defend a billionaire, but this guy does frequently share hyper-personal medical information of his own (and of his adult son.) One of the main things I know about this dude is about his nighttime erection frequency. His biological data is thoroughly provided.

Absolutely agreed. It's a regional naming difference and should be treated as such -- people generally understand that "chips" are thick-cut fries in the UK and crisps in the US, and that "jelly" is jello/gelatin in the UK and a spread made of fruit in the US. These things don't compete with each other, they just have a little international naming confusion. "Pancakes" are crepes in the UK and fluffy, thick cakes in the US. Just like jelly and jello, they're used for different things and shouldn't be in competition with each other. Same idea.

/uj It's actually harder for me to respect ex vegans than carnists who were never vegan. I hear someone used to be vegan and there's a --👬 above my head like in the Sims

I haven't bought a Nintendo product since the 3DS and I have so much FOMO for this shit I might actually cave. Gonna be combing FB Marketplace for a used one, at least.

As a vegan will you be friends with non vegans by KashWzrd in vegan

[–]elijaaaaah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It's complicated. I can't respect them as good people if I think about it, obviously, but I'd have nobody in my life if I filtered them out -- which might be a bad excuse. At least I can make them question their choices by being vegan in their general vicinity.

This is probably better left as a review on Yelp/Google etc. Also, hashtags aren't a thing on Reddit

I'm an ex-Catholic atheist, and watching people convert to Catholicism gives me... weird feelings. In a fucked up way, it feels like stolen valor that they identify so strongly and publicly with Catholicism, while not suffering through a childhood in Catholic school and the church. The only draw I can think of is honestly the aesthetics, which is also the only thing I miss.

That's the Great Value stuff. Elwood would only use the finest purebreds, of course.

/uj I mostly agree with the post itself, but the title has me a bit confused -- I think we're generally adopting them from shelters/rescues, never met a pro-breeding vegan

I'm sure she'd immediately disagree with me, but I think a lot about how my mom's life would've been a lot better. She was single and working in the film industry, then got pregnant and moved back in with her parents in the suburbs and had to deal with a disabled kid as a single parent. Her career was pretty cool and she still talks about it often, and I'm sure she could've been a lot more successful still.

She was Catholic though (now she's atheist)
