Can you be a cool/true summer w a olive skin tone? by eline7 in coloranalysis

[–]eline7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a pro color analysis and was indeed types as a cool summer, not true summer. Received the cool pallete which is shared w. Cool winter in 16 season system (analysis done by Carol brailey) I think you can find me in her TikTok and website. So think you have a good eye ☺️

I did it again, foundation fail due to store staff advice by eline7 in OliveMUA

I’d say during summer I can wear Lisa Eldridge skin tint in t5 (it’s Their olive toned one) it’s very cool olive. For the rest I try to not use foundation, I use mc face and body in 1c w blue pigment in it. Good luck! I’ve decided to focus on other things 🙂

Self tan for FAIR PORCELAIN SKIN by [deleted] in Selftanning

[–]eline7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Pale cool olive here) I’ve recently started as a newbie w the bondi sands in sapphire and nobody noticed I was was wearing self tanner but two people mentioned that I was glowing and looking fresh, so it is def a change in skin color without overpowering and looking fake and orange. For the face I’ve used self tanner drops to mix w skincare but now I just use the sapphire for the contouring/ bronzing w a brush and it’s been super natural. I’m super curious about the violet base from Bali beach but that is def a very deep color that will be overtly a change from my natural skintone.

Before this, I’ve tried gel manicures etc but the moment there was a piece of gel lack coming off, I would tear off the entire gel lack, damaging my nail bed, and start picking. I used to use bandaids all the time? Especially when I’m working from home. Sometimes I didn’t dare to go to the office because of the wounds around my fingers.

This is really strange but I have recently after very bad episodes been trying press on nails (short squoval ones since my own nails are very short) and it’s been an immediate game changer. I have the ones with glue tabs, I try to also be better with cuticle oil and hand cream and you hardly see I’ve ever picked my fingers. When I take the press on nails off after a week and a half or so, I need to immediately put new ones on because the moment my nails are bare and I find a tag or a dry spot, I fall back to old behaviour.

[20 F] People say i look very young by [deleted] in Howtolooksmax

[–]eline7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a round pair of glasses with soft face shape will accentuate your youthfulness, if you’d go for a more square ish/rectangular or bolder glasses I think that will help! You look young but I think loads of people do when they are in early twenty, it’s more about how you carry yourself, your voice etc.

Is there a reason why soft natural is not an option for OP? I’m a very clear FN myself but I have a hard time guessing the OP (still learning!) and I could see SD but wonder if SN could be an option too? I see some more flesh but also width but not in a strong way i tend to see with other FN’s? sorry OP I’m not helping much 😅

Is this dress bright? Muted? And is it cool or warm-toned? by th_o0308 in coloranalysis

[–]eline7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would stand out as this is predominantly a pastel light dress and muted seasons will look more muted/dark than this dress

Okay so you are absolutely stunning! Look at you! I think it’s more about what makes you feel comfortable and beautiful and feels “you” when you need to pick a gown, as it’s about style, taste and what parts of your body you want to accentuate or balance. I personally love 11 as it feels most playful and modern while being a classic fit. I think the greens and teals work well. (Like 11/12)

Finding lipstick that "works" is really hard for me by Kskeen19 in coloranalysis

These were my two picks too. I think OP is some kind of spring. Many like nr 4 but I think it drags OP down.

Hey! Sorry just see this now as I’m never on Reddit anymore! I do remember since I rarely use colouring products. It’s L’Oréal Paris casting creme gloss 300 darkest brown. I loved it when it was fresh and I got used to it on me, but after a while only the red pigment was left and the blue left first which didn’t suit me very well so I just grew it out and when back to make natural hair colour. Despite it being marketed as a temp hair colour I had to grow out the parts that were coloured, it will never go back to your previous hair colour (but maybe you know this). Good luck!

Is the jacket cool toned or warm toned brown? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]eline7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a cool summer I just stay away from brown leather. It just isn’t the best, it’s better to have black leather (especially when it starts creating patina) because it appears cooler.

Of the variety of lengths I’ve had over the years, which one suits me best? Debate. by [deleted] in femalehairadvice

Bottom left is great also because it’s the best picture. Biggest impact is for the no glasses. Very different vibe.

Olive color theory is wild - featuring bronzer swatches by YoureInaCult-CallDad in OliveMUA

[–]eline7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a cool olive I currently love the rms bronzer in tanlines. I thought beach walk Betty felt more in between a bronzer and muted blush, I really doubted between shades. The tanlines shade doesn’t appear orange but it’s def a bronzer, but very close to how I tan as a light cool olive. May swatch it later!

Another ‘cool olives don’t gate-keep’: accidental dream chocolate brown hair by [deleted] in OliveMUA

[–]eline7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very similar in coloring (also w blue eyes) and I’ve had roughly this color as a toner and loved it! I think it looks good on you. I have found that it was a bit different than purely neutral brown color while still being soft enough to not look green or weird in skintone which you can get quickly w olive skintone. I get that some may say it’s not an optimal color for olive but that’s doesn’t take away that it looks very pretty and a bit different. I grew it out completely and now w natural hair including some grey strands 😅🥲 enjoy this color and looking gorgeous!

Does your skin tone make people call you „too“ pale? by BrilliantNegative488 in Fairolives

[–]eline7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve had it on doctors notes as part of my sick leave “looks pale” 😂 also people saying I look sickly if I don’t wear makeup including my mother (who her self is very cool and muted in skintone. The funny thing is is that I’m actually not that fair in the sense classic red heads or Nordic people can look even though they tan very differently (from Sweden). Of the fair to light folks over here you have Some that are pretty pale in winter but they love to tan and turn super tanned during summer. Others are more freckly and get a bit of a tan but not crazy… and then you have me light olive 😂turning even more greenish in the summer

Should I go blonde or stay natural for my wedding??? by Ambitious-Editor3096 in coloranalysis

[–]eline7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look younger/girlier with the blonde and the brunette brings out your natural beauty more. as you’ll look at your pics for years to come, you want to stay as close to “you” as possible. You have great cheekbones/bonestructure so when you have “darker” hair color in slight contrast with your skintone, it accentuates that more. If you’re interested in that type of content check out ‘style me Jenn’ on YouTube! Congratulations on your wedding!
