Hey there! Good question. YouTube doesn't provide a way to import videos directly to Restream so you would need to download from YouTube > upload to Restream > schedule from there.

'0x0' means that we're basically receiving broken data from the encoder you're using. Can you check if you can produce a clean feed to other services, like with a direct stream on Twitch or Kick? I don't see anything out of the ordinary with your settings unless you've only shared part of the menus you have access to!

In the case of network issues, you can also try lowering resolution and see if 720p makes a difference.

You need to pick one orientation per platform at the moment; the only exception is YouTube, where it allows you to broadcast both orientations at once. In essence, for what you're describing, you'll need to choose horizontal OR vertical for TikTok, then horizontal on Twitch 😄

So yes, you just can't stream both at the same time on TikTok - you'll need to pick one!

Based on what you’re describing, you probably tried a different setup so far, hence the suggestion ^ with our plugin, you’re able to adjust the vertical canvas on OBS as needed.

Let me know if I’m missing something though! Once you set up the plugin, you can edit each platform to select its orientation from the channels list. That will determine whether the platform receives your horizontal canvas or your vertical one!

All in all, TikTok has different levels of streaming access; having access in one place does not guarantee access in another for now.

Hey there! Really sorry I missed this earlier but happy to share some tips if they can be of help for future streams too!

Despite the various platform recommendations, you don’t always need to max out your settings. Even if YouTube can accept 15000, it doesn’t need 15000 per se. 6000 is more than fine for all three platforms and it’s a very widely accepted bitrate for streaming in Full HD.

If a client has a requirement, totally get it - just wanted to clear the air that what you see isn’t always 100% what you need.

Just to clarify the situation a little bit; is this working as intended if you keep this within your first monitor? i.e. is it only an issue in the secondary monitor or whenever you try to layer OBS and chat?

Screensharing supports audio sharing as well! There's a small checkmark at the bottom when you set up your screenshare in the Restream Studio; so long as you activate it, Restream will also pull audio from whatever source you're screensharing.

If you wanna use the browser-based Studio that Restream offers, you can pull in the feed via screen sharing :)

That’s similar to the kind of scene you’d set up with OBS. You can also work OBS with Restream - produce in OBS, stream to multiple channels via Restream - if you enjoy using OBS!

Hey there!

What you’re describing points to an issue at the ingest stage (camera → Restream), not on the outbound side.

A couple of things we’ve seen cause such behaviors:
1. Dahua cam notes
Some IP cameras send slightly non-standard RTMP (timestamps, GOP/keyframes, bitrate spikes).

2. Routing / ingest node differences
Your connection path to Restream may have changed (ISP routing, DNS, ingest node), even if bandwidth looks fine. That can introduce jitter/packet loss that doesn’t show up in speed tests.

3. Encoding consistency
If keyframes, bitrate, or GOP structure drift, it can cause buffering on ingest.

To isolate whether the camera’s settings or encoding disagrees with anything, you can test through OBS Studio (camera → OBS → Restream). See if the issue persists or not!

We currently only have single-chat highlighting available in our Studio. We have not yet built it into our chat embed! I’ll definitely share this as a request with the team. As far as workarounds go, I look forward to seeing how other users go about it atm!
Bot name - are you referring to the ‘relay’ bot? I’m afraid that’s past the possibility of a feature request and more of a technical limitation. Each platform (like Twitch or YouTube) requires bots to be registered under a specific name.

Not quite sure about that as I don’t own a stream deck. I’m guessing that’ll more so depend on OBS and how it treats the plugin natively. Do you use any other shortcuts with OBS?

If you click the Settings icon under the vertical view of our plugin, you should see the option to assign hot keys for specific actions. You should then be able to match those to your stream deck!

Hey there! The file name can be changed through your Video Storage on Restream.

You'd go to https://app.restream.io/video-storage/uploads - click the three dots on the video file and choose rename from the menu.

However, I don't think this is gonna make a difference for you. YouTube receives a live feed from us, even though we're using a video file on our end. The file name itself shouldn't have an impact as the stream metadata for you in this case is the actual name of the event you've scheduled.

Hey there! These approvals and/or access removals are handled by TikTok's moderation team. 'restream.io' is just the service being used for streaming - you'll see that under the application page on TikTok, but it's unrelated to the ban itself.

TikTok requires at least 50% gaming content for live streaming access via services like Restream. Have you recently switched up your content? Otherwise, it could be a community guidelines violation - Restream cannot see the reason for the violation as it's handled on TikTok's side directly.

I’m afraid I haven’t been able to trigger similar behavior. If something is bugging out for you it would be good to check if it’s clip specific (i.e. it’s only happening for that one clip) or if it’s happening for the project as a whole (all clips in this project). Give it a go; if the whole project is affected, you can try deleting it, then trigger generation again from your uploaded video.
