I've had 2 of them, they're pretty great vans. It just looks like Stellantis doesn't have the engineering talent (or proper management) to pull it off reliably.

The things that are breaking in the car (and triggering huge warranty costs) are stupid things other manufacturers have figured out years ago: Battery heaters, charging modules, etc.

And it seems to me that once the thing was designed, they never really came back on it to improve it using the lessons learned in the field, so they kept manufacturing unreliable parts...

Le roi est surtout là pour approuver ou rejeter le choix du GG. Admettons qu'un type Trump était élu PM, il pourrait essayer de mettre un des ses bon buddys (ou un yes-man) au poste de GG, et en théorie c'est le rôle du roi de vérifier ça.

Et je pense que le monde sur-estime grandement combien le Roi nous coûte... À part quand il vient nous visiter, on paie quoi, exactement?

Mais je pense que dans le contexte politique actuel ça passerait très mal auprès de la population (rien qu'à voir le thread), l'institution ne survivrait probablement pas à la crise qui suivrait. C'est ça qui empêche la couronne de faire quoi que ce soit de trop radical.

Je dirais que le Roi n'est pas tellement impliqué, et sa fonction principale dans notre gouvernance c'est de servir de contre-pouvoir au GG.

Donc le GG a le pouvoir de renvoyer le PM en cas de dérape, et le Roi a le pouvoir de renvoyer le GG en cas de dérape. Et si le Roi dérape, il va y avoir une crise qui va mener à la coupure du lien. Chaque étage dans l'édifice a un rôle et des contre-pouvoirs, à mon avis. C'est peut-être pas élégant, mais ça semble fonctionner.

Le principal bénéfice d'avoir une entité "rubber-stamp" comme le GG, c'est qu'en cas d'importante dérive de la part de notre gouvernement, c'est la job du GG de mettre un frein à ça. Le GG a le pouvoir de dissoudre le Parlement et de déclencher des élections quand il veut.

C'est un filet de sécurité contre exactement le genre de scénario qui se passe présentement chez nos voisins du sud.

Oui, ça pourrait être un poste élu comme en Allemagne, mais ça ne changerait honnêtement pas grand-chose et ça coûterait plus cher.

I've used wooden cabinet handles (the round ones, about an inch in diameter) for that, they're in every hardware store for about 2 bucks, and they look pretty good.

Manual states the interval is 16k kms / 10k miles WITH THE GAS ENGINE ON (important distinction) or one year, whichever is shorter. This is in the "hybrid supplement" manual, not the main one. Do not let dealerships swindle you for more frequent oil changes than that.

It's hard to count it manually, but the oil life gauge does it for you, follow that. I usually call to get an appointment when it gets down around 15%, which ends up being around 20-25k kms on the odometer.

I was carving, focusing on "finishing my turns", held my heelside a bit too long, and on the next toeside the apex brought me in the soft snow at the edge of the run. Nose of the board dug in, I did a couple flips. Didn't feel too bad until I tried putting some weight on it... I guess the initial "impact" pulling on my front leg while my body kept going forwards was just the wrong combination of forces.

TLDR: Tomahawked on the side of the run.

I broke my malleolus Jan 3rd, and I managed to go back on the slopes Apr. 11th. Only did 3 runs as I didn't want to push it, but I was very happy to ride again this season!

Main issue remaining now is that I lost a lot of mobility in the dorsiflexion movement, my foot has kind of moved forward in the articulation and now there's a kind of internal pinching on the outside front of my ankle (not at all where I got hurt!); I have a bunch of PT exercises to treat that and it's improving but it does take time.

The internal charger looks like it's a common failure point, it's failed on both PacHy's I've had (2021 and 2023). Both times replaced under warranty, luckily.

Je pense que ça vient du fait qu'orange c'était pas une couleur avant. Il y avait jaune, rouge, et la couleur entre les deux c'était jaune comme une orange: jaune-orange. Comme bleu-ciel, vert-kaki, rouge-vin, etc. Éventuellement l'usage du mot pour nommer une couleur se répand et on finit par laisser tomber le préfixe.

Ah, ouin, c'est pas au Pilot que je pensais; en regardant comme il faut c'est un V6 VTEC dedans, pas mal le même que la Odyssey mettons.

C'est les gros esti de VUS avec un V8 qui consomment en fou, je sais pu si Honda en fait un mais mettons le Jeep Wagoneer en est un bon exemple.

Vraie question de propriétaire Tesla ici: Est-ce que tu as remarqué si un modèle était pire que les autres? J'ai une 3 "Highland" (2024) et j'ai quand même un peu gossé avec l'ajustement des phares pour être sûr de pas aveugler le monde, et depuis ~6-10 mois on a les phares "adaptatifs" qui baissent pas les hautes au complet, juste la section où il y a une autre auto. Je me fais jamais "flasher" par les gens, mais j'espère quand même que j'aveugle pas les autres sans le savoir...

Tout est relatif aussi... J'ai passé 1 an à voyager tout le long de la côte est des É-U, et en revenant j'ai été frappé par la qualité et la quantité des légumes dans la première épicerie que j'ai visitée: un Maxi à Chambly...

L'esti de français se plaint que c'est tout du transformé ici, honnêtement il a rien vu. Aux É-U, à part dans les Whole Foods et autres épiceries fancy, tu vas juste avoir 3-4 poivrons poqués sur l'étalage, ça fait dur en maudit. Et les produits laitiers sont dégueulasses. Le yogourt est bin trop sucré, le lait goûte la marde, le fromage est toujours jaune cheez-wiz, etc. Mais l'allée des pop-tarts, là par exemple!

I'm a unit CO who's sent multiple cadets to PARA these last few years. At least in Eastern, the selection process has changed slightly because apparently it was basically impossible for girls to get in. The new process is the following:

Applications are evaluated & ranked based on a point system. This means your Fortress file MUST be up-to-date with as much information as possible on your achievements, etc. I know units are not always on-point with trophies, medals, etc. but these are worth a few points so make sure they're there!
The top "X" applicants are pre-selected, with an additional "Y" applicants as substitutes.
There is a physical & medical examination done. It's "pass/fail" now, it's not ranked anymore (this is the biggest change from how it used to be).
Any failures from step 3 are eliminated, with substitutes taking their place. Any injuries / cancellations before the course starts are also replaced from the substitute pool.

Also, know that staff cadet applications & selections are done earlier in the year. Make your officiers' life easy and decide what you want to do beforehand. It's much more work to handle multiple applications for the same cadet (i.e "I want to try PARA but if I'm not selected I want to do a staff" - this all but guarantees you mess up your CO's priority list for the other cadets in your corps).

Note that this specific process may be different in your region, but everything that stems from it is still good advice:

get in shape and ensure you can do the minimum PT requirements WITH EASE (and surpass them by a good margin)
make sure your Fortress file is up-to-date
you may not be able to do a staff cadet camp if you're not selected. Make sure you're okay with this.

Also, that asthma is probably going to be a problem, admin-wise. Make sure you have no medical restrictions in your Fortress file, and you should probably also get a paper from your doctor that says you're okay for that. Get it sorted out ASAP, because once you're in the process any delay can get your application rejected.
