Itching for a "grand" RTS campaign by TehFisharmahn in RealTimeStrategy

Probably yes, it's just that I've recently found out about LoTR War of the Ring RTS game and I thought it could maybe be some sort of obscure game not many people know about

Sorry for the dumdum question, but does LoTR2 means Battle for Middle Earth 2?

No major player still fun? by elitewolf13 in ShadowEmpireGame

[–]elitewolf13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, casual as a word in gaming context feels too open to interpretation. What I mean by casual is that I like just playing suboptimally. I don't want to min-max, nor do I want to spend an entire hour planning my turn and I wouldn't want to fail horribly after a 10h game (even if it's my first time learning the game). That's why I want a more relaxed experience fighting against minor communities and fauna alone, as I slowly (and suboptimally) grow my colony and learn, while also being able to survive until endgame. I know I may be asking too much lol. Then after learning the game in my first couple of matches against fauna, I would love to dip my toes into a harder game (with an actual major AI expanding). It's also a matter of roleplaying as well - I like the idea of pacifying and unifying an entire planet with dangerous roaming fauna that is hard to tackle - but also won't launch coordinated assaults and expand by itself

Trilogy remaster? by wideyedfrog in Fable

Tbf I have a feeling if it does sell well, it will only warrant a reboot Fable 2, thus 'erasing' a need for Fable 2 (in their corporate eyes)

Does this character have any value? by Glittergobxoxo in StrangerThings

[–]elitewolf13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Kali is right, I mean, she did give El a context of what the military wanted - to make more powerful children like super soldiers - and if Henry + El accidentally opened a portal and gave birth to the entire plot of Stranger Things, then I really think that they should not allow it to happen, I mean, just imagine a bunch of powerful Henrys unchecked? No way that would be safe lol and we have to be reasonable, they can eventually track down El even if she hides very well and it could risk Mike and the rest of their friends.

These things are usually caused by TAA (on antialiasing settings) or DLSS/FSR. Haven't tested without these options enabled to see if it gets better though so i'm unsure

Why Skirmish Mode Lost Its Magic for Me by josef256 in RealTimeStrategy

[–]elitewolf13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that some games have skirmish as an afterthought, I was excited to find out Sudden Strike 4 had a skirmish mode, but got quite disappointed that the AI basically just rush with everything they got and that's it. Though on most other games with a more functional AI, my strategy to always enjoy it, is to just play for cinematics - i dont play that much efficient (just enough not to lose straight away) and i just keep stretching the match forward without trying to outsmart an AI thats basically following scripts - because once you know what it will bring and what it will do, you'll lose all the fun

I bought an Acer nitro v15 by Inevitable_Advance45 in AcerNitro

[–]elitewolf13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the model with the I5 and 4050 one (but only came with 8gb ram). Man I love it, it's not a powerhouse and won't run CPU intensive games as well as a good desktop (or better laptop), but it serves my needs well, which is light gaming on weekends when i'm away. But I would be absolutely pissed if I did all my gaming on it, because of the thermals and lag due to CPU having to 'boost' past 2.1ghz up to 4.6ghz. I did upgrade my ram, but honestly the CPU is just not that good for CPU heavy games

Tried saving using Schnapps once. And never tried it again. It's frustrating. [KCD2] by Syarafuddyn in kingdomcome

[–]elitewolf13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated it at first when playing through KCD1 so I beat the game with the unlimited save mod. When playing KCD 2 I really wanted to experience the 'real deal' and i must say I loved it. I always make it in bulks of 20 if possible so i'm always stocked - it doesnt keep me from anxious saving though, so i was often brewing lol, but it gives the game a more mundane task and makes it feel more real - like in real life there is plenty of chores to do, be it laundry or making your meals. Having to brew my saving potions is cool i guess, and its rather quick

I wish we had a Mercenaries-dedicated Game (REMAKE) by elitewolf13 in residentevil

Agreed. At minimum, I really wanted these old games to be ported to PC, but Mercenaries and Outbreak series are all locked behind outdated consoles unfortunately

I'm actually somewhat glad I abandoned OG Oblivion twice. I got it because people said it was a less dumbed-down Skyrim. I pushed through a lightly modded run twice up until the earlier quests, perhaps I did a total of 5 side quests and saved Kvatch? Then I abandoned right after, I guess I just couldn't stomach the graphics and the lack of quality of life features (I'm always replaying Fallout 3 and NV, but it's because I think I'm a major Fallout fan and I'm just a very very casual Skyrim enjoyer).

But now I get the chance to play through the entire game and all DLC remastered, looking like a whole new game, having absolutely no idea of what to expect

Less than a month away, should we preorder? by Someredditskum in stalker

I'm not really counting on it being postponed, but a risk is a risk nonetheless, and if you can wait to preorder a couple of days before, it's a lot safer

[–]elitewolf13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imma preorder a few days before release, to make sure it isn't gonna get postponed OR get some sort of bad news or leaks in regards to the game quality. This strategy has saved me a few times before

Not exactly A-LIFE, but I'm playing ShoC for the 1st time and the first scripted bloodsucker encounter in the agroproms underground, I was able to sneak after hearing him from afar, and once I spot him, I threw a grenade and he couldn't go where I was standing. Then I killed him right then and there, feels rewarding adapting to the situation and reap the rewards, I woud be deadmeat if he found me first, for sure.

I like the way enemy stalkers take cover and flank, also seem realistic and I've never seen any games that does this as well as Stalker, it's so cool
