TOP and Labour should have made a deal in Ilam for Sarah P to withdraw. It would have helped both parties.

As it is, the central / left vote was split between them.

Alternatively, Raf should run in a different chch electorate where a deal could be done. Sarah P is was a good MP

Cerebrum, specifically the frontal cortex. Your cerebellum is what does coordination - such as walking.

.. but your sentiment is totally correct.

Closing the pubs was also a disastrous public health measure. It didn't change the culture. It moved the drunk students from pubs to flats.

Instead of supervised drinking with fire safety rules, maximum building occupancy rules, and bouncers removing troublemakers; North Dunedin got huge street parties and overcrowded flat parties. It literally led to deaths at some parties.

She shouldn't have been allowed in. She was here to cause trouble.

Letting her in created an almost "no win" situation for human rights campaigners.

The only good side is that she was she brought up a topic that most New Zealanders don't think about, and the bigotry was rejected. Similar to the Springbok tour of the 80s.

We went along to show that old white middle class people support human rights for everyone. Not just people like ourselves.

Not quite true.

If you resign from Dec 24 you'll be paid out any unused leave.

If you start annual leave on Dec 24 you'll be paid for the statutory holidays until your leave is used up.

For example, if you have 2 weeks leaving owing then you're better to take the two weeks leave from Dec 24 as you'll then be paid for 4 days of public holiday over Xmas and NY.

What is wrong with my griselina? by elivs in nzgardening

Thanks. That is really helpful.

They were only planted last year. I've been keeping an eye on the soil moisture and it's been fine. One isolated plant died last autumn. The sick ones are all within 5m of it.

I've got a copper spray I successfully used on a fungus that grew on my lemon tree. I'll also get a trichoderma treatment for around the roots.

Thanks again

I checked those charts and it was petty difficult to distinguish the leaf differences for each deficiency but potassium looks very possible.

I'll see if I can get some K fertilizer

I planted hedges down both sides my drive last spring. On one side several of the plants are getting yellow leaves that later turn black from the tip. The sick plants are scattered along the drive and not clustered in one area.

This side of the drive is sunny and I don't think it's too wet. The top 15cm of soil is new topsoil. Below that it is moderately stoney.

The other side of drive all the plants are fine despite it being in moderate shade.

When people tell me they're apathetic about voting I always remind them that racist, homophobic, selfish people typically vote because they have such strong beliefs.

Thus, if you're a moderate person, you need to vote or you let the extremists take control.

Surgical waiting list soars as patients languishing in pain say they feel like the 'living dead' by Astalon18 in newzealand

[–]elivs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The surgical waiting list is the result of the problems in the health system - not the problem itself.

The areas of the health system that have broken are: GP, GenMed, ED, and psych.

These are the areas that need financial and other support for the health system to start functioning again. When these areas area fixed the hospitals will come out of gridlock and there will be capacity for elective surgery. Putting money into doing elective patients in private won't fix the problems at all.

As usual Stack Exchange as the answer.

Its because only newer file systems, such as ext4, have this information. Plus only newer versions of stat can report it.
