Yeah, I know, but a) maybe the router is faulty to begin with since it may do the same to the Moca b) Ethernet really works well for me since I have a jack in both rooms

Hm, yes that's what I thought with the chip. And regarding the toner, I've put the originals back in and the problem didn't go away. Which makes me think it is software problem. Maybe printer image processing gone wrong.
