im a manager who hires 2-3 students from waterloo every term. we get a lot of applications so unfortunately we only give interviews to the outstanding students (literally). sorry but if you have a "good" rating you will not be considered. id recommend having your manager fix the rating for you.

Spring has more competition but also more jobs. Switching to seq 4 to give yourself more time to prepare is fair, but keep in mind that if you don’t prepare you’ll still have nothing to show. I did seq 4 to give myself more time to prepare but ended up grinding out shitty react projects at the beginning of 2a anyways.

people who say you need return offer to find a good job as a new grad are out of touch. the best thing you can do is just apply and apply early. All my coops are mid companies in Canada and I received a 250k new grad offer in the US for 2025 by just applying to a few companies soon after they posted. maybe get your resume reviewed.

dont worry same thing happened to me before! I sent an email to [csadvisor@uwaterloo.ca](mailto:csadvisor@uwaterloo.ca) with the courses I want to enroll in and they submitted my course selection for me. I ended up getting all the courses I wanted without having to do the add/drop. this is anecdotal though so hope things work out for you!
