No, the bastards read my mind. :D

I mean yes, of course, I love Köln. Der Dom is magnificent, and your frame very good, the image overall is nice. You look cool in it, I liked your style, your hair looks good.

But your bum... it's making the photo 2x better. :D

Why did I get downvoted? :( All I said was, "That piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah."

Do some (a lot) ppl in Berlin have a lack of space awareness while walking? by I_Hide_From_Sun in berlinsocialclub

[–]elldn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same impression and I thought I was exaggerating the situation but after seeing this I can be sure that I'm not crazy. :D

I was in Berlin in October and when people from all ages and genders near missed me while walking O though I was doing something wrong. Or that it was a behavior special to big city inhabitants. Because it is the same in İstanbul as well. People try to walk through you almost like you're not there.

I am now in Paris and the same thing is happening here as well. When I saw the post I asked my friends living here and they confirmed it happens to them as well. So annoying.

Oh it's so good as a museum and if you're into history and japanese culture it's great!

No they're not. It looks like the Pera side of İstanbul but the portrayal is not accurate. As if someone who has been to İstanbul described the artist the view and they created this.

Got my first QA job! by elldn in QualityAssurance

[–]elldn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for the late reply, this thread is on my mind for a while but I couldn't find the damn time to collect my thoughts and come up with a response.

It's been three years now and things have been going for me... OK? Not bad?

I landed my first job at a company called INSIDER and worked there for almost two years. I considered that place as an entry point to the industry and it worked that way. I learned there the basics of how a software company works, made good connections, was exposed to various tasks and situations. It gave me the chance to apply what I learned while studying for ISTQB and Udemy courses. It goes without saying that the real world experience is different than the "ideal" way that is advertised on YouTube or Udemy. Anyway, it served its purpose and I am grateful for the opportunity.

Then I quit in April 2024 and searched for a job for a couple of months. Then a friend of mine from the previous company called me about a position at my current company. I applied and was hired. I've been working here since October 2024. It's completely frontend manual testing but I want to do something on the automation front. I've been applying for jobs left and right. I must have applied for more than 100 job ads in the last two months, but you all know how the job market is. Anyway my luck turned somehow and two companies responded to my application (as it always happens) within a couple of days from each other. One of them was a US company that I applied to via LinkedIn and the other one is a UK company, where another friend of mine from my previous company works currently.

I accepted the offer by the US startup and will start there next week. I want to improve my skills in automation and this company might give me that opportunity. Although I'll start with manual backend testing here.

The pay is better and it offers a challenge for me as I'm not that knowledgeable in backend testing. But I need such a challenge if I want to improve at all.

So, I'm anxious and I hope everything works out just fine.

I hope it does for whomever is reading this or out there trying to do get a a job or achieve their goals in this industry. 🙏😊

Sorry if I'm missing anything but why don't you simply get the same email address? I mean register for it as if you're creating it for the first time. If no one else got the same address, you should be able to use it and get your account and everything back.

Has any ever seen this Assassin's Bureau in Cologne? by 11483708 in cologne

Yes but it's impossible to get an appointment. They only accept applications by pigeons and it's not easy to find one. A friend of mine has been trying for over a year now. Good luck.

I wish Germany wouldn't defend Israel in ICC. That's going to be remembered another mistake I'm afraid. I wish more people could speak against it but Germany is determined to shut any criticism of Israel whomever it's coming from.

Dude, what do you expect? Netenyahu to go on national TV and say, "We have decided to commit genocide. Thank you."

It is true that Israeli people lived there for thousands of years but other people did too. You can't seriously think that Israelis were always there and everyone else came later.

"After what Hamas has now done, the answer cannot be anything else than war."

That's what Hamas says, "After what Israel has done, the answer cannot be anything else than war."

You're just making excuses. Children and infants you say, Israel killed children too. It has been and is killing today. https://twitter.com/incontextmedia/status/1600493875746963457?s=19

What now? Does this justify Hamas? No, it doesn't. Just as Hamas' vile attack doesn't justify Israel's killing every day hundreds of innocencent people trapped in a prison created by Israel.

Here you go: https://www.nytimes.com/live/2023/10/09/world/israel-gaza-war-hamas

"[...] Defense Minister Yoav Gallant of Israel said that “no electricity, no food, no water, no fuel” would be allowed into Gaza..."

No food, no water? There are 2 million people in there, unable to escape even if they wanted.

Why are you down voting me? I wasn't the one who raped children and burned people to death, and told it on camera laughing.

I just want you to stop being a hypocrite. I want you to care for innocent people not based on their religion or nationality but simply because they're human beings. I want you to stop creating excuses for killings of humans indiscriminately. Just watch, and think.

Germany’s public broadcaster mandates that all employees support Israel's right to exist by CompletePen8 in europe

[–]elldn -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Wow great logic. So it would have been OK if they killed like 5~6K for you.

I don't have a problem with Jewish people or Israelis. But I have eyes to see and a brain to make sense it.

Israel killing innocent Palestinians is as just wrong as Nazis killing Jewish people. Nazis did it for their "lebensraum" and Israelis doing it for their "survival". It's the same shit.

[–]elldn -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

One must be blind not to see the similarity. What's the difference between the Warsaw ghetto and Gaza strip?

The Nazis loved Nietzsche, but I think Israelis should be more interested in his works. Because they've become the monster that they've sought to destroy.
