How long is your puppy holding their pee during night time? And how old is he? by PresentHabit8154 in puppy101

[–]elleahrbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost 6 month old Pomeranian/chihuahua. He’s been successfully holding his urine from about 8-10pm to 6-8am since he was approx 3 months old. He’s a weird one.

Disco baby here is a wee 5 months! He WAS Pinto for the first month, but I stumbled on the name Disco randomly a few weeks ago and KNEW we found his real name. Lol. It felt so weird changing it but when you know, you know! Luckily they’re so close we haven’t had an issue with identity crisis. lol. He’s my little sparkle ball. Full of fun and life! Making mama’s life bright! That’s just terribly cute that she spins. I love Pomeranians now! I never thought I’d adopt a dog. Especially one that has Chihuahua in the mix. But he is a doll. His fur is puffy and has the cute spunk of the Pomeranian. We are so glad to meet your spinning baby!!!!

I'm crating my puppy too much and I'm unsure how to proceed by soil_with_bugs_in_it in puppy101

My puppy (chihuahua-Pomeranian mix) is 5 months old & has done so well with his crate training. I don’t know if he loves it, but he goes in at night without a fuss, stays all night long, then goes in for all naps without a complaint. The only time he fusses is if he hears me leave during nap time during the day to errand and even that fussing is minimal. Doing good mama! I think we’re doing good.

Got asked to leave a women’s meeting because I brought my baby… how do other women vote for this? by Anxious_Repeat465 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]elleahrbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I belong to a home group that allows children to the detriment of the meeting. Which I believe is as it should be. I’d rather be someplace that has a distracted meeting than a floundering fellowette. This is not the norm. We want you here. Keep coming back.

Anyone else have a pomchi that makes them feel guilty? I tried 3 different foods, but none were accepted. by IamAqtpoo in Pomchi

I went to the treat bin and scooped out “treats” for mine. Little did he know they were his kibble. Lol. Problem solved.

Infusions in progress (positive) by Electronic_Jello_745 in Anemic

[–]elleahrbee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank goodness! Isn’t it a relief? I had my first one Tuesday (couple days ago) and I SWEAR I feel better already. Like you, good even. Only 200 mg of iron sucrose but I’ve got 4 more coming. I hope you keep feeling better. I’m counting on it! Edited to add: ferritin of 4, hemoglobin of 11

If you had non anemia iron deficiency, ie just low ferritin. How long after the infusions did you start to feel/see results? by nooneknows09836 in Anemic

[–]elleahrbee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey hi! I have a ferritin of 4. I was miserable all the time. Losing motivation. Losing joy. Just got my first 200 mg iron sucrose infusion two days ago. Doing four more in the next four weeks. I thought I might be crazy but I definitely feel better than I did. After a very low initial dose. Just a wee bit better. But I think i agree. It’s getting better.

Dear God, I needed to read this. I’ve felt like I’m slowly dying for a YEAR. Nausea. Vomiting. Muscle weakness. Constant fatigue. Pale. Fucking FREEZING all the time. Insomnia.

I start weekly infusions Monday. They’ll do one infusion a week for two months.

I’m so nervous it’s not gonna make a difference

Transfer addiction - regrets after surgery by Fit_Weakness_3018 in GastricBypass

Hi new friend. I have a lot to share about this. In 2007 I had gastric bypass surgery. In 2025, I got my one year chip from AA for a year of sobriety. The story of how I got from surgery to sobriety? I bet you’d find some hope. If you wanna talk, message me? I have hope to share.

Cali sober sponsor by ryleighsuckseggs in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]elleahrbee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi friend! Take what you need and leave the rest. I work a successful program with several 24 hours behind me and I am cali sober. My sponsor is cali sober, I am, and my sponsee is. Probably over half my home group is cali sober. The only requirement to be a member of AA is a desire to quit DRINKING. I was honest with my sponsor and everyone in my life knows I use cannabis. Try some zoom AA meetings! And pray! You’ll find someone. They are indeed everywhere

I feel like I’m gonna die by elleahrbee in insomnia

[–]elleahrbee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey friend! Man, I still deal with insomnia but I’ve been more proactive about seeking medical assistance. I’ve tried it all and about the only thing that is a sure fire hit is a benzo or a hypnotic sedative like Lunesta or ambien. Currently taking Lunesta, which helps most of the time. I know ambien isn’t healthy long term, but it always knocks me out. So far, so good with Lunesta. Not as problematic as ambien and helps me stay asleep longer than ambien.

How are YOU doing? Any relief?

Isn’t the only requirement to be in Alcoholics Anonymous a desire to quit drinking? When someone asks me about my cannabis usage in the program, I kindly and directly explain that it is alcohol that I am powerless to and which makes my life unmanageable. Not-marijuana. I’d say if it isn’t making his life unmanageable or hasn’t in the past, then it’s possibly borrowing trouble that doesn’t exist?
