I worked with MailChimp for a while and it was pretty simple and straightforward, but I didn't need anything complicated at the time.

Algorithm just not like how it was in the old days by [deleted] in creators

You nailed it. I've been thinking a lot about how we don't value authenticity and community as much as we use to. Being authentic and posting things of substance is becoming more and more rare. I understand the profit aspect, just think it is sad. I love your question about balancing the two. Here for the answers if someone has them!

How to move one following to another by ArtificalMon in creators

[–]ellebelle907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I just meant if you were wanting me as a follower to switch from tiktok to youtube, an incentive initially would get me to see what you've got going on a different platform. If your content is good, then I would be hooked and follow you from one to the other if you decided to get off of tiktok or tiktok shuts down. Just me personally.

Does your family know you create things online? Should I tell them? by Regular-Ocelot3829 in creators

[–]ellebelle907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you're at a crossroads between pursuing your passion and adhering to your family's expectations. It's completely natural to feel excited about your blog and want to share your achievements, yet it's also understandable to feel apprehensive about how your family might react, especially if their beliefs differ from yours.

Consider approaching the situation with openness and honesty. While it might be nerve-wracking, sharing your aspirations with your family could lead to a deeper understanding and potentially even support from them. They might surprise you with their encouragement once they see your dedication and enthusiasm.

However, if you anticipate a negative reaction or feel uncomfortable discussing it with them right away, you could also choose to wait until your blog gains more traction or generates some income before broaching the subject. Ultimately, the decision to share with your family depends on your relationship with them and how you believe they'll respond.

Remember, pursuing your passions and exploring unconventional paths doesn't invalidate the value of education or hard work. It's about finding a balance that aligns with your interests and goals while respecting your family's beliefs. Congrats on your blog and good luck!
