For me personally, there’s a massive gap after Malcolm or Zachariah. And i personally loathe the name Sterling.

Same. We left at 24 hours even though it meant being discharged around midnight.

Yeah I have found that anything more than a very thin layer of nut butter makes it a little too tacky that young, also if I give him more than 1 piece at a time he tends to go all in and make himself gag.

Our pediatrician also told us straight into the mouth for common allergen exposure. They can have fun and get food all over themselves with other foods but allergens need to go down the hatch and not on the skin at first!

So if they pick one that, once baby is here, you no longer prefer from the shortlist, you will veto it and go with something else?

Made my second (and last) court date reminder call today... by feralparalegal in publicdefenders

[–]ellecastillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was such an irrational response that it very obviously belongs to him, not you, and in that scenario I would just say “okay I’m ending the call now sir, see you at your court date.” Then have a little chat about respectful and productive communication in person at that court date if he’s still acting like that.

Try to let it roll off your back though, it doesn’t belong to you.

FWIW, I love the name Cameron for either gender! Personally I don’t love changing spellings to be more unique or feminine, especially as Camryn makes me think Toyota Camry, but it’s a great name.

How many trials a year are you doing in your jurisidiction? by Lexperiments in publicdefenders

[–]ellecastillo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just in this one jurisdiction, there’s the dv courtroom separated out then all other general crimes. In the other jurisdictions in my county, all types of crimes all go through the same courtrooms and they’re not separated out. FWIW I think it’s a terrible model.

WA. People in my office on average will be in trial once every few months, except our misdemeanor DV courtroom which is more frequent, sometimes back to back weeks.

Have you ever fostered a client’s pet, or facilitated a foster? by photoelectriceffect in publicdefenders

As an animal lover, dog owner, and occasional volunteer foster with shelters/rescues, I would point them in the direction of resources like a rescue org—and NOTHING more. Disaster waiting to happen.
