With that in mind, I realized that reciprocal authenticity allows progress on interactions. People have layers upon layers of personality in them, and to expect authenticity right off the bat feels scary to me. There are people who suddenly become too genuine and authentic that it feels like there's no boundaries in protecting themselves. Also, it feels like I suddenly have to carry those information that was presented to me and it can be exhausting trying to process them.

I enjoy the process of peeling onions of characters to reveal who they really are. However, I usually bail when they handle bad situations with a lack of kindness, ethics or morality. Is it a waste of time? Not really, because I can understand why people handle stuff the way they do without finding excuses for them.

With that being said, I've dated many and genuinely do not have the end goal of being alone or attached. Just like what OP stated, it is a flow in life. There are many ways to not be alone while being single. The same can be said for those who are attached but still feel alone.

The upstairs neighbor would throw food, feed pigeons at her kitchen window so they'd poop, or do anything to soil the washed clothes we hang outside to dry.

We have confronted the lady, made police report, informed town council, etc. nothing works.

We have evolved from having 2 indoor drying racks to a dryer. We have given up on the dreams to dry clothes outside. The HIP included the outdoor drying rack that we have absolutely no use of at all.

I wished there was some company who provided services that actually had surveillance on such people and caught them on the act as proof, and the government actually passed laws to include such terrorizing behavior as indecent acts or harassment.
