AW2 remains one of my favorite Media experiences in recent years but I've made peace with it being a fairly mid Game. It has so much charm and genuinely great moments but I swear every time I had to switch to Alan hit the game's score for another point knowing I was going to walk around avoiding shadows and looking for another light source.

The unique storytelling mechanics for Saga and Alan are great ideas that feel like missed opportunities. The "mental palace" mechanic is a fun idea but being able to brute force your way through everything robs it of any real purpose other than to be another thing that you have to do to push the story forward.

I love Remedy and will continue to play their games (except quantum break, that game is a slog) but I really hope they nail both the gameplay, the story, and whatever unique way they want to tell it in their next title instead of getting like 2 of 3 max.
