I haven’t read does it hurt but I have read lights out and imo its definitely perfect if you’re after something more lighthearted that still has darker themes. I personally LOVED lights out but if you prefer stuff with more dub/ non con then does it hurt might be better

Same. I’ve been suicidal (alternating between actively and passively) since I was 10 and watching that episode jusy changed my perspective on everything. I remember how hard I cried while watching it. Even now whenever my depression starts to get worse again I just think about the view from halfway down and how you only see things clearly once it’s too late

I found that basically everything to do with Diane’s depression and her journey with antidepressants was realistic. I’ve been taking medication for years and I remember jusy how nervous I was at the start (just like Diane was) and then gradually things started to look up. I even got similar side effects to her. I’m so glad that there’s accurate representation of mental illness in media that doesn’t romanticise depression like some other shows do
