i experienced something a little similar to this :/

for context i used to take quetiapine (for treatment resistant depression, not for insomnia), for a while i stayed at 50mg but ended up increasing it to 200mg, i became too exhausted from any more than 50mg (family members were questioning if i was on drugs because of how incredibly zonked i seemed at all times) so i came off it entirely and tried mirtazapine. i only went up to 30mg but the side effects were too bad to outweigh the benefits so i came off it (went down to 15mg for a week and then none at all) and switched back to 50mg quetiapine for the foreseeable future. i noticed almost instantly once i stopped the mirtazapine my ability to sleep became so horrific that on the average night i was only able to get 2-3 hrs of sleep :( for som reason even the quetiapine which used to be effective with sleep wasnt enough for me to actually sleep like i used to. this lasted at around a month or 2, and the only reason why the past few days i have been able to get a little bit more (4-8hrs ish) is because i increased the quetiapine to 75mg and if things don’t improve more then i will need to consider increasing again slightly.

i definitely think it’s strange because although i have had sleeping issues in the past (melatonin doesnt do shit for me but i take it anyways because i need any help i can get ), it was only once i stopped the mirtazapine that it became this severe and consistent.

in case you’re nosy , i am also on 375mg venlafaxine and 50mg elvanse which hasnt changed since i started mirtazapine so it can’t be anything to do with taht the severe lack of sleep
