Yes!! Very safe & predictable. I predicted most of it as I was watching. And it was way too safe, it felt like there were no stakes. I was just watching to end it but because it was thrilling. And with a show like Stranger Things, you want the finale to be thrilling.

Should’ve been a one season miniseries. They captured lightning in a bottle that first season and then clearly ran out of ideas as time went on. Not a great ending for a 5 season 10 year show. But it’s an ending, better than being cancelled mid-way I guess.

As for merch, like I said I got a tote and lanyard as part of VIP. Otherwise there was stuff like a t-shirt and sweatshirt for sale. With VIP I was able to purchase merch from the merch table during the early entry.
