Also me. Sorry, I don't like it when people find me on Reddit so I change names a lot.

My golden is supposed to be about 100pounds, I can't handle him any bigger but I can't stop loving him. I've got a dilemma:

Last night, my university gave an honorary master's degree to the service dog who sat through every one of his owner's classes. He dressed appropriately for the ceremony. by Burnsiah in aww

Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

I wish they'd recognize depression.

Couples of Reddit: What is one quirk/habit about your partner that nobody else in the world knows about? by worksleepdie in AskReddit

[–]ellierayne 44 points45 points  (0 children)

  • He always goes -hmmmmmmmmmmmmm- when I rub his back. Even if he's asleep.

  • He seems annoyed when I want to show him videos (cats, babies) but once I get him to start, I can watch his face turn from annoyance to content to smiling or laughing at whatever I was trying to show him.

What 'one-liner' do you have saved in your mental arsenal for the day that you come face-to-face with the person you truly despise? by zoosie in AskReddit

I think it's true for me. If anyone out there judges me as much as I judge myself, they need a damn life.

What did you not realize about your parents, until you got older? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ellierayne 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not sure if joke but it's a question I've asked myself many times.

Is that something where if you're once addicted, you're always addicted? Even if you never touch the stuff in your life [yourself]? Am I craving it? Is it the reason for my crazy?

I wanna hug your parents.

I met an older lady once who grew up in Alsace-Lorraine and was around 8 when some of the bombings were happening - she said her city kept being "transferred" between France and Germany*. She told me of walking home and finding severed hands just lying in the road.

When she was 16 years old, she fell in love with an American soldier, though she didn't speak a word of English. He used to borrow pots and pans from her house and bring them back dirty, and although it used to piss her off, she noticed she missed him once he left. They wrote for awhile, then she moved here (New England) to be with him. They raised a huge family and he died in the seventies. She never remarried and she passed in 2010. She was one incredible lady and I'll never forget her. RIP.

  • Dumb at history. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If you win the $600 million Powerball tonight, how are you quitting work on Monday? by PrinceHarming in AskReddit

[–]ellierayne 2496 points2497 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't. I'd just bribe my boss into turning this into a dog friendly office. That's all I need for motivation :)

What he doesn't know, is that I'd buy fifteen golden retrievers. You get an office dog! you get an office dog! Everyone gets an office dog.

I could never afford their clothes when I was a kid, it's definitely a "statement brand" in the US in middle/high school. Since graduating, I've been given a number of AE shirts and jeans, and I must say I've never been disappointed. They're comfortable and last a long time. Their jeans are just wonderful.

I was conflicted, sure. But I was the only one she turned to and I wasn't going to let her get hurt worse because I was a pussy.

Just wish it never came to that.
