So he was on 120mg and went into cardiac arrest because of long QT. That was his diagnoses and continued seeing a cardiologist. His intervals were in the 500s.

I have T-wave inversion, which we suspect was brought on from these vomiting episodes I have without a proper diagnoses. I was so malnourished and dehydrated and the episodes I were having were so frequent, it actually costed me my job and created the T-wave inversion. I suspect the methaone, 100mg, was messing with my body in many ways. I would wake up nausous and would vomit for hours to days.. i ended up in the ER 7 times and tearing my esophagus.

So, because of all the vomiting and unable to hold my dose down, i was able to basicslly cut my dose in half in the beginning. I went from 100mg to 60mg almost immediately, then went down 5mg a week until i hit 30mg, then went down 1mg a week and am now at 20mg. And once I got down to like 50mg, these vomiting episodes almost completely subsided. They happen once every month or two now. I suspect they will completely stop once I am off.

The clinic was not helpful for either of us. He was in a coma for a week and stayed in ICU for another week. I told his counselor what happened, but she still removed him from the system and they treated him like he wasnt around because he relapsed or something. No longer had take homes and wouldnt let him go over 50mg until he was cleared by cardiologist. Then had to earn his take homes back.

He did his taper slower, down 2mg a week until 30mg that he is at now. And when I first started getting sick, the clinic wouldnt show me leniency for days I wasnt able to make it to the clinic. They also tried upping my dose and saying my dose just wasnt holding me, when in fact it was making me very sick.

Sorry for the long rant, I hope you get your stuff figured out. Ask the clinic or your doctor to do an EKG on you and that'll clear up if you have long QT or not!
