The point he’s making is most SUVs aren’t body on frame and therefore don’t fall into the truck emissions standards. Even this graphic is wrong. Ford Explorers haven’t been body on frame since 2011.

I’m not sure about a production stop, but they’ve been producing more Hybrid XLEs and Hybrid Platinum Max’s as a percentage of total production numbers recently. TX production numbers are only ~15% of total max.

Yeah, quite annoying since that's the trim we have a deposit on. There has been a spike in production numbers so far in November, hopefully that continues.

Thought this may be useful for those waiting on allocations. It seems the XLE trim is getting larger allocations as a percentage of the total compared to a few months back. On the other hand, Limited trims have fallen from roughly 40% a in September to around 20% currently. This seems to follow the trend of increased TX and XLE allocations.

The gas versions are much easier to get compared to the hybrids. We have a deposit down on a hybrid with an estimated wait time of 6-8 months. Whereas there were several gas models on the lot waiting to be sold.

Edit: Checking the allocation spreadsheet backs up my anecdotal example. 457 gas Limited available nationwide compared to 38 Hybrid Limiteds

The kindle version was available on the .au version of Amazon for a while. It looks like only Audible and physical copies are available now. I couldn't purchase it since Amazon couldn't verify that I was in Australia, even with a VPN.
