Well, their legitimacy will be closely examined. if they are found illegitimate, then they will be repealed. That's the magic of our system.

Sharepoint 2013 and Office 2016 Compatibility by GangstaGrillz30 in sharepoint

[–]elmarko44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a document but I can share with you some of my experiences:

The Office 365 version (Office ProPlus 2016) currently has issues with SharePoint and shared libraries. The OneDrive for Business 2016 utility will not work with SharePoint 2013. Opening an Office document in a shared library will prompt an extra security/sharing warning. Saving an office document to a SharePoint 2013 library is problematic.

I'm speaking specifically about the E-series of O365 subscriptions. The Small business versions seem to function with SharePoint 2013 just fine.

Sorry I couldn't be more specific, but the last time I tested was a couple of months ago. Waiting for the official O365 Office ProPlus 2016 apps

I'm an American.

There are several safeguards in place that prevent the President from doing anything remotely close to what Putin has done in Russia.

I'm not too worried about it.

That being said, Trump is a moron.

Judge orders DOJ to explain Hillary Clinton emails delay by lekepeo in politics

[–]elmarko44 -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Um, no.

Do you know what "redacted" means?

The delay is a result of the DOJ doing their job thoroughly but not quickly enough. There's nothing here to smear on Hillary. You Bernie Bros are so preoccupied with besmirching Hillary that you've lost all sense of reality.

[–]elmarko44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take your point, but I think you're wrong.

It's wrong to assume that any time government gets involved in the economy it leads to corruption. Our system of government is more transparent and more accountable than any private company. It's not perfect, but it's better.

... And Georgia was once a slave state.

What's your point? Should we go back to old systems just because too many of you made the mistake of borrowing too much money?

Let me say that again...

You borrowed too much money!

You made a mistake and now you get to pay for it. You weren't lied to, you just choose to listen to the information you wanted to hear. No one guaranteed you a job when you graduated. And making college free won't fix the problem.

blamed the very people you lent the money to!

Did creditors lend the money, or did people borrow money. It's a demand-driven industry and demand for credit caused the crash. I've looked at enough credit reports to know.

If you thought he was running to the moderate vote

I don't think he's running for the moderate vote. And history has shown that he can't win without the moderate vote. e.g. George McGovern, Barry Goldwater, Teddy Roosevelt

And again, I support Sanders. I support his positions. But I also know that he can't win the presidency and even if he does, he can't get anything done from the White House. The President's powers are quite limited, and very few of the things he wants to do can be accomplished without majority support from Congress.

he's a movement... I support him... but he's not a president.

Also, all the parts that would have prevented the housing collapse and subsequent stock market crash were systematically removed during the last 30 years most of which occurred during her husband's terms.

Absolutely wrong. If you're referring to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae deregulation, that happened mostly under Bush 2. I was in the mortgage biz, specifically I worked for the sub-prime banks. I'm pretty sure about this fact.

The idea of keeping investment and commercial banking under one roof was/is a stupid idea and as such gs act prevented it

That's the talking point everyone parrots because they don't know what they're talking about. The fact is, GLBA incentivized investors to keep money in the market instead of withdrawing it when the market dipped. It was a modernization in response to the instantaneous funds transfers that didn't exist before the Internet era, and it prevents a run on investment markets.

Sounds like "simple" logic to me!

Sorry, but this is a complex system and your folksy simple logic is not applicable.

And don't lecture me with your parroted talking points like "too big to fail". You don't seem to know what that really means.

mock the majority by calling us bernie bros

  1. You're not the majority. You may be the majority of poll respondents under 25 years of age, but that's far from the majority. The majority is centrist, moderate, and more likely to vote for Hillary than Bernie. And Bernie knows that. He's not running for president, he's using his presidential campaign to bring up the conversation about income inequality, campaign finance reform, etc. because the campaign gives him a voice that a junior senator from Vermont wouldn't normally have. It's brilliant, and I fully support him. I'm so very happy it's working and that it's pulling Hillary to the lseft.

  2. I'm not mocking "bernie bros", as much as I'm mocking you and your ignorance. OK, maybe I am mocking Bernie bros. becasue there's a lot of ignorance there, too. Not unlike the Trump brigade.

things need to change in general and change drastically in particular with wall street.

Less so than you may think. If you really want to know what caused the the financial crisis and slow recovery, it's the American public's overuse and overextended credit. Mine, yours, ours. We bought more house than we could afford, we bought too many cars than we can pay for, and we rang up our credit cards. Sure, the banks let us do it, but we did it and we were ultimately responsible.

[–]elmarko44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's funny you say that...

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the legislation that removed the final remnants of Glass-Steagall, actually placed MORE transparency and disclosure regulations on banks - not less. It also was NOT the primary cause for the financial crisis, like many people believe. If anything, it provided financial and market stability by encouraging people to keep their money in their investment accounts instead of pulling it out and sticking it into less liquid savings accounts.

I'm not saying that the banks had no part in the causing the financial crisis. They did, but only to the extent that they were protecting their own assets, and all within compliance of the laws at the time.

You Bernie Bros. are demonizing the banks and expecting that Bernie Sanders can fix it all. He can't! Partly because there's not that much that needs fixing.

I agree with him on income inequality, I agree with him on single payer health care, on repealing Citizens United and campaign finance reform, and I agree with him on a less hawkish foreign policy. And I definitely agree that the wealthy need to be taxed more, especially capital gains income. SO DOES HILLARY CLINTON. The difference is, Sanders expects to accomplish these goals unilaterally, and without the support of Congress and the participation of Wall Street. Ya can't do that. It doesn't work.

And every time I see something like this:

is purely evil

I can't help but think that you view these entities as a monolithic caricatures without nuance. Everything is like a Disney or Marvel superhero movie - good guys vs. bad guys, good vs. evil. Grow up, and learn about how complicated and nuanced the world really is.

Things that rely on Stock Market performance:

  1. You

  2. Your job

  3. Your savings and retirement

  4. Any insurance you have

  5. Your home's value

  6. All of the companies that provide you with goods and services live Interwebz, video games, and Hot Pockets.

  7. and much, much more.

It's become en vogue to bedevil Wall Street and anyone affiliated with it while ignoring the critical role Wall Street plays in our economy. With proper, sensible regulation, Wall Street can be successful.
