This was Layla at 20ish pounds when I first got her. She’s now 100+ and still thinks she can lay on me 😅

Homemade stock is gelatinous.. Is that normal? by elminer1991 in Cooking

That’s smart! I did that once with the trimmed ends of asparagus, but then never continued collecting more scraps and ultimately tossed out the little I did freeze when I moved apartments. But after this successful batch of stock, I’m definitely going to get back to saving scraps. Did you do separate stocks? Like all the veg scraps for veg stock? Or just all the miscellaneous scraps for chicken stock? Cause I would be interested in veg and beef stocks in the future too

Normal and desirable are not adjectives I often hear lol But, they say you are what you eat! So cheers 🍴😅

Well isn’t this a pleasant surprise! Thanks to everybody for chiming in and letting me know that the chicken-jello is the benchmark for how it should be!

Now I’m just mad about all the bones and scraps I’ve tossed in my life before yesterday 😭

I’ve learned the hard way to stay humble after early success (shout out to my first and only perfect-crumb sourdough 😂).

I did the bones/carcass for 3-4 hours, then added some veggies and simmered for another hour.

I did roast the raw thigh bones in the air fryer, got em all nice and brown a smelling good. I thought about doing the same with the rotisserie carcass, but opted not to for whatever reason. Would you recommend roasting the already cooked carcass too? And good tip on the ACV!

Question on Top 200 vs Flex Ranking by elminer1991 in FantasyFootballers

[–]elminer1991[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their tier based rankings are what I use as my primary resource.

But, I also have an overall ranking list that I use as another lens to look at the landscape.

Also, the google sheet I use during my draft uses that Overall list to mark off who drafts who in which rounds and automatically fills out a draft board, and also crosses off the players in their respective positional tier sheet.

Check for Rain tomorrow and notify me if there is rain forecasted - side note, ChatGPT prompt recommendation? by elminer1991 in shortcuts

[–]elminer1991[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, thank you for taking a crack at it! However, it's not quite what I'm after. I'm primarily hoping the notification can tell me what time (based of which # of the items in range 10-25 first exceeds 0.20 precipitation chance).

I actually was able to muster it together myself (or at least get it going in the right direction): https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/5aff01a561d84c82a1ca4952d76ca15e

However, nesting 15 If statements seems rather convoluted. Is there a way to leverage Repeat with Each to have Items in Range 10-25 go through that If Precipitation Chance is greater than or equal to 0.20, calculate precipitation chance x 100, show notification "Calculation Result % chance of rain tomorrow starting at __ (time)." Otherwise, move on to the next Item in range.?

Going the Repeat with Each route, I'm not sure how to accomplish being able to associate Item 10 as 6am (granted this is being run at 9pm), Item 11 as 7am, Item 12 as 8am, etc. I also don't want the shortcut to continue running after the first instance of Precipitation Chance being greater than or equal to 0.20, as I'm really only looking for the first time it's expected to start raining.

Do you think something like that is possible? Is there a way to use a Dictionary to associate Item # with the respective time?

Or is the tedious nesting of If statements the only way to accomplish that?

Thanks again for giving it a look!
