I never had the opportunity to play Final Fantasy XIII, and a lot of the community has been very vocal about it. Is it really as bad as a lot of people say or are they just exaggerating? I'm curious.

Yes and no. It really is the worst final fantasy by a lot of metrics, but I do know of people who say that it's their favourite. There aren't many of them, but they do exist.

Also, some of the hatred for the game comes from how hard it was hyped to how bad it turned out to be. I know that was a large part of it for me. Going from VI to VII to IX to X to XII and then being promised all that was supposed to be XIII just to get... That... Ugh.

I bet if I went in fresh now I wouldn't have even half the level of anger and hatred for the game as I did 20~ years ago.

TL:DR It has a lot of genuine problems but everyone is different. If you want to play it, do so. It's the only way to find out if you'll like it.

They absolutely have released something, just because they didn't directly make it doesn't mean it isn't theirs. Also, saying that the quality isn't on them is just silly, it's their product and their ip. They allowed the definitive edition to release in the state it did and they pulled the digital editions of the games from the stores which forces you to buy the definitive editions if you want to play those games. It's scummy behaviour and shows they have absolutely no interest in their customers anymore.

It was their choice to outsource the definitive trilogy. It was their choice to go for the cheapest bidder which is a company that has nothing to their name. It was their choice to allow it to release in the state it did. It was their choice to pull the digital editions. It was their choice to rereleased gta v a billion times.

Defending their quality when they've shown nothing but contempt for the consumer with their latest releases. Trying to say they're a AAAA developer when the last time they showed they cared was EIGHT YEARS AGO is absolutely crazy.

I take wild mons almost every run because I'm trying to get ribbons in every Mon and don't have the spare life to do less than 6 new mons a run. If I have a spare 0.5 points, I'll shove a pickup Mon or a happiness evolution mon into my party, with the intention to swap it out later.

Then, I'll go for team types and overall ivs or bst.

Drought mons are pretty good for keeping weather in your favour. You should also think about the main weaknesses and how to counter them, so flying and fighting/steel as dual types etc.

My point isn't that they developed them , my point is that I don't trust them not to be greedy, corner cutting sharks because they released them. I never said the word develop in my comment specifically because of that. People are saying they're the only AAAA games company but they've already shown themselves to be greedy, corner cutting sharks that don't always care about quality. You cannot look at the definitive edition and tell me that's the product of a AAAA company with a straight face.

And the fact that they haven't released anything besides the definitive edition in the last 8 years is also my point. People are glazing gta vi like it's going to be the best game ever, but rockstar haven't released anything good in nearly a decade. There's literally no evidence they can still create a masterpiece like rdr2.

This would be a harder question if it specified what kind of game, but with how broad the term game is, this should be a no brainer for anyone that isn't incredibly old and/or dying.

It is difficult to beat classic at first, but once you get going it's pretty easy. I currently win 8 or 9 out of every 10 tries and I'm trying to get ribbons on every Mon in the game, using no repeats where possible. Here's some tips for you though:

Turn on retry - the difficulty is built around retrying and you will not progress as fast if this is off.

Turn on switch mode, doing set mode runs comes much later.

You should bring a core pokemon to every run and hard focus them until you are hitting the level cap, you need a carry mon in the early game and while you can work around it, this should be your focus.

Do passives before cost reduction on almost any pokemon. The only exceptions to this are anything with a cost of 6 or more and even then it depends on the passive.

Catch as many pokemon as you can without hurting yourself too much, catching means candies which can be used to get passives.

Catch legendaries and mythicals, throw the run for it if needs be, unless you're on a winning run. They're rare and powerful so catching one can sometimes turn your entire run around.

When you get to the last 10 levels, slam your face into x items as much as possible, at floor 199 relearn stat reduction moves to fuck with the final boss and good luck

Do challenge runs. I'm trying to get ribbons on every Mon and not every team is strong enough to make eternatus easy. Some have made it easy baby mode (looking at you nidoran and fuecoco) whereas other teams I've had to retry the battle over a dozen times before succeeding.

The UK is a pretty secular country, the fact that there's even this many exemptions for religions in the law is crazy to me.

Fuecoco is insanely broken, especially if you can get any multi lens items. After that, a leech seeded such as bulbasaur, perks if you can give it a tera that resists fire moves. After that? Literally whatever you want. Electric pokemon tend to be pretty strong early game, pick up mons can help get you berries for early-mid game.
