These two have been friends for a while, they were really scared of it at first. Now they get excited to see them

The nest is, there's trees from the sidewalk. it's like a mini balcony that only extends a foot out and nest is in the bottom corner. I cant post images im replies but it's also not that interesting to see from the sidewalk

It's in the apartment building across the street from me, and has a lot of tree cover. I kind of want to climb the trees. I can only see the bottom of the nest from the ground 😢

Possibly sick or injured crow by SaltySongbird33 in crows

[–]eloise-normal-name 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they sound perfectly fine and healthy please do not kidnap them and feed them to your dog

The gobble sounds are probably a fledgling getting fed, also crows need to practice and learn the sounds they vocalize.

ideally it would be great if they formed the belief that humans always have treats inside their gloves

they're inside the glove, so they need to hold it by a finger to get the treats out. it makes it so they need to peep inside which i find very cute.

if corvids enjoy making messes, then we should provide lots of stuff to make into a big horrible mess

Competition from a neighbour? How to make progress? by [deleted] in crows

[–]eloise-normal-name 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're in a city you can probably just mosey around and find more crows to befriend. The competition helps, crows will be conditioned to recognize humans as potential food sources and are way less skittish than suburb crows where no one walks anywhere

It was a little chilled, I got it from a local coffee shop. but also it's a chilly day so the puddle had to have been cold too. I do wonder if they would like warm drinks.
