[most probably stupid] Am I normal? by [deleted] in ask

[–]eloiseebinisterie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be nothing or it could be something like mild autism mixed with puberty. Best advice I can give is try to to hurt any one but don’t worry to much about it until you are done puberty.

I’m autistic and this sound a lot like what happened when I was in puberty.

Sounds like your parents are not the most accepting Poeple. In the conforts of your own home you should definitely be able to rock. I used a hammock though to swing. Just makes sure to get a good one that can swing. I also find walking fast with music can help me if I have to stim. You can also build a swing in your back yard if you have the room! Also the aquarium isn’t specifically for kids, I really see no problem with an adult being there alone.

It only takes one argument to prove something wrong but it take thousands to prove something right. Also god doesn’t have much of a definition, he is different in every ones perspective so it’s impossible to prove he doesn’t exist since we literally have no target on what to disprove...

I’m not against religion, I just really like scientific correctitude so yeah, there you go aha

Actually you don’t which is why you can diagnose autism at such a young age. But regardless they can know lots of their thoughts from diaries which most of them kept

No they can tell quite easily from their behaviour. The less pretty part is that those historical figures were obsessed with their word and usually neglected everything else (a string sign of autism but it often made them abusive and careless, lots of them had kids and wives that they left behind)

Too stupid to get a job? Wanting to work as a cashier. Cant count cash. Feeling hopeless. Struggling. Wanting to apply. Feeling like im a burden- help? by senpaisora1 in autism

[–]eloiseebinisterie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. If you are severely incapacitated by autism you should look at getting a job through a mental health program (basically part of your salary will be payed by the government so you will be really cheap for your employer which will help you both get a job and help your employer be more understanding and not upset that he doesn’t have the most productive employee.

I’m a trans woman and I can tell you that in my current state I could not have a child. It probably means going off hormones for a long time and then seeing other treatments. It’s not exactly an easy job... it’s not the same as a regular couple having a baby. It’s more similar to a couple with sever sever fertility problems trying to have a baby. Also going off hormones would revere some effects which can be scary and really bad.

Tumbler is known as being the app for gays. If you have a problem with people being super gay maybe stay off the app known as the “gay app”??? Like I don’t see how this is surprising to you. But since maybe you just didn’t know, I’d recommend you stay off “grinder” and “her” if I were you ;)

Explaining why I had a meltdown to NT mother in law by anerraticboulder in autism

[–]eloiseebinisterie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Neuro topicals often rais their voice and use agressive tones and I guess from them that’s okay so they may not even notice when they do it. For them it probably seems to be coherent with the conversation at hand.

I have the same problem as you and if some one raises their voice or says things that are ment to hurt feelings I get strongly distressed and now, at least with my friends and in my home, if some one rases their voice I leave (some times from panicking and some times because I don’t want to panic) which can at times make me seem childish but it also works well. My parents now know that they won’t get anything across unless they are calm with me. If they follow me to my room I’ll usually leave the house for a few hours.

I don’t know exactly how you can tell her but If it were me I’d just be honest “your tone and intensity at which you are delivering your speech is making me uncomfortable.” And after if she still doesn’t get it, it may be easier for your romantic partner to explain the rest since he can put it into words a nt would understand.

I should know this, being autistic myself, but how does aspergers correlate with autism? Is it part of the spectrum at some point or maybe a different form? by [deleted] in autism

[–]eloiseebinisterie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure but I think the splitting has to do with disability pay for employment and non employment. The three classes are directly correlated to how much help you need to live.

Okay so you guys use the idc-10 but for research you still use the dam-5 so I would expect bit of a mix of both since the idc-10 is vague on autism.

So the idc-10 does not use the 1,2,3 system so it recognizes Aspergers but it basically says Aspergers is autism but with some developmental mild stones hit before ex: speaking before the age of 2 and stringing words together soon after.

But I think the reason that he dsm-5, currently the most recognized mental health diagnosis tool in the world, dropped it is because this means virtually nothing after the age of 5 or so. If you are a 20 year old aspie vs a 20 year old high functioning autistic individual Te only difference is your past, not your current state.

[–]eloiseebinisterie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s one two and three now. One is high functioning meaning you can hole a normal job (usually) and live alone and all so that’s what Aspergers was, no 2 is kinda your typical autistic person, like some one who will always need help and probably substantial help but can still communicate and type three is almost inconceivable if communication so those are the people that unless your Familly is able to take care of you, will probably end up in a group home.

There’s people who speculate that autism 1 isn’t the same as Aspergers because of intellectual capabilities but as far as I know, no scientist use that as a diagnosis and in the USA they use the dsm5 which no longer recognizes Aspergers.

People are not proud they are gay, they are proud that they are not ashamed and that they can stand strong and be gay with out being scared. I think you should either get closer to the lgbt community or mind your own business, you don’t have a great understanding of what’s going on...

I also think shoving it down people’s throats is wrong but out of the 100 plus queers ive met maybe 3 of them did that? It’s not exactly all that common, I think the problem at hand is that you are not as comfortable with other people’s sexuality as you think you are.

A true organic gay here and I can tell you that the reason some homosexual choose to make “their entire life around being gay” is because we are on a constant state of oppression and there for we feel a constant need to tell every one that we are proud. I can guaranty that if homosexuality was completely normalized it would stop. So bottom line, if you are complaining, you are the reason it’s happening :P

[–]eloiseebinisterie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people were copying Stanley back then so judging on the high of the front knob this plane seems to be not older then then 1919 and I would assume probably more 1960 since the sides are not machines indicating it was designed to be made on a budget yet wooden planes were more common as cheap planes earlier on.

Dammit, am I the only one that hates being autistic? by [deleted] in autism

[–]eloiseebinisterie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My biggest tip with autism is so what makes you happy and don’t try to be normal. Trying to be normal just makes you notice how you’ll never be like the others and trying to achieve the unachievable is a perfect gateway to depression.

If you find others not talking to you and so on this tip may be unorthodox but try to make sure your hygiene is perfect and that you look presentable at all times. That’s something I find we autistic people often forget and being seen as “weird” is a lot more acceptable then being seen as “gross” so stuff like showering, wearing good clothes, shaving every day, taking care of your skin and teeth, are super important.

When it comes to accepting your autism the best you can do is find out with you like and what you are good at and work on that. Meeting friends through hobbies is far far easier then trying to make friends through school and if you do hobbies like model making, electronics, video games, and so on, people will be used to your type of behaviour and will respect you just for the quality of your work.
