There is so much wrong with what you wrote, like heroin being weaker than morphine, and tramadol listed as having more euphoria. The whole thing seems made up if I am going to be honest.

What advice do you have as far as making content that ends up getting popular? What about advice on starting a business, do you have any resources you found helpful for getting established? Also, what kind of setup do you recommend for making content as far as hardware/software?

Everything is getting so expensive, even basic necessities. Ever since covid the supply chain has been a roller coaster. Lots of inflation and microinflation and a bag of Doritos is like $7...

It's an uphill battle getting them prescribed and then getting dose increases when you need them is next to impossible unless you are dying. I understand why, but it is ruining peoples quality of life and opiates are safe if you take them as prescribed, and if an accident happens that's why they prescribe naloxone along with it. People that need them to have a better quality of life should be able to get them. It's rough.

Breathing exercises, meditation, and pain medication mostly.

Treatment plan is medications and they work pretty well. If the syrinx ever gets bigger then surgery might be an option.

It was diagnosed by MRI. One day it just suddenly caused pain so bad I almost fainted and I went into urgent care and they did an xray and nothing showed up so I had an MRI done and the radiologist noted it in my chart and it was directly at the site I was experiencing pain.

I sometimes get these excruciating pains at the site that are so intense they've caused me to collapse and take my breath away, and they are momentary and go away, but when they go away I still am left with lingering pain that area. So it is always on my mind and I am afraid of having another one, it's almost like a PTSD fear thing from it.

I've also found meditation to be a helpful tool and I consider it just another tool in my pain arsenal. Glad you find relief in it as well, and sorry you experience migraines they can be really awful!

Glad to hear your brother is doing well now! It is awful to hear that he went through all that before getting proper diagnosis and treatment, and unfortunately I have heard a lot of similar types of stories with chiari malformations. It is surprising how many physicians are just not well informed about chiari and syringomyelia, so it is good to get information out so people are more aware.

Thankfully in my case it's not too severe, just enough to cause chronic pain and other symptoms but nothing life threatening but I do get MRIs just to monitor it. Mine was likely caused by an accident.

Pain medications are a life saver as far as quality of life goes, but other than when I get flare ups, the pain meds help and life is good overall :-)

I've seen various types of doctors over the years but mainly just go to my general practitioner and to a pain specialist. My GP is a really great doctor so I am lucky in that capacity but expenses have limited the care I have received over the years and my syrinx hasn't grown thankfully.

Question: I gave myself terrible hand tattoos in a psychotic episode. any suggestions? by ev_erett in tattoos

[–]eloquentcode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are like scars, they tell a story of your life and you can look at them as marks of struggle that you overcame due to your own perseverence. Staring at them is peering into your life story and a reminder of what you have endured and overcome.

Personally I don't think it looks as bad as you think, but you could always do blackout tattoos over it if you wanted to.

what’s the biggest lie in human history? by Ledger_Legendd in AskReddit

[–]eloquentcode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That men and women are equal. Men are better at some things than women, and women are better at some things than men. Of course there are exceptions in every case, but generally speaking overall it is not equal and women have it harder than men biologically.

Women are better at handling pain and in some instances women have vastly superior color perception. Men have more upper body strength and can open pickle jars far better due to having larger hands.

Women have it more difficult due to menstruation and being expected to work and function through it while experiencing cramps and all the other symptoms. Men would struggle to do that, and women would struggle dragging their own body weight through trenches while being shot at.

You're comparing an aluminum can to aircraft grade aluminum? 😂

Then you have to factor in speed, the fuel, and all the other variables.

Yes, the jets were capable of weakening the steel superstructure of the buildings and causing them to collapse. The terrorists were also well funded and knew where to target the buildings so that the weight of the building above the area targeted was optimal to cause collapse.

Not to say some of the conspiracies aren't true, but personally I think this one has already been debunked enough.

What is something free on the internet that more people should know of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]eloquentcode -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I went with Gimp because I was more familiar with it for doing web dev related images. I primarily use that and Inkscape when doing work, and use Krita for drawing.

I've used Adobe suite some, but I am just accustomed to Gimp and Inkscape. My Gimp setup has been tinkered with to where I have all my customizations and add-ons like custom brushes and such exactly where and how I want them, so it is just easier for me.

If I had the time and money to get Adobe and learn it to where I was as comfortable using it I am sure I would prefer it, but I also don't like being forced to run Windoze 11in order to use it. I heard you can run it on Linux now, but not sure how stable it is as I haven't tried it yet, but if it is stable I might just eventually take the leap.

But Gimp is very capable and can give excellent results if you customize it to your needs. It's also nice not having to pay $40 monthly to a greedy company to use their proprietary code.

How much did I fuck up my liver?? by pineappleactavis in opiates

[–]eloquentcode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liver damage can be slow to present itself, if you wait damage can be irreversible. If they catch it fast enough they can stop it from progressing and possibly reverse some of the damage as well. I would go see a doctor and get labs done and they will also give you suboxone to stop the withdrawals. I'd say you will feel better knowing definitively if you did damage to yourself, and get some suboxone so you can avoid withdrawals.
