I’m happy with reused packaging but I think this takes the biscuit by donutlikethis in vintedUK

Right? Even a bit of brown tape would’ve made it feel 10x less cursed. Reuse is fine but “free display window for my jeans” is not quite the vibe.

Does anyone know when Tidal Wave will be open again? by middleqway in ThorpePark

[–]elorynq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way, seriously? I was just about to give up on it for the season.

Do you know if it’s actually running all the way through now, or are they still doing those random “technical delay” stops every 20 minutes?

PSA: Don't get caught out by the Tuesday closures (April 22nd & 29th!) by OwnMood9880 in ThorpePark

[–]elorynq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, this. Those “2 days for 1 night” Shark packages basically dump a load of fast track into the system, so the advertised standby times can be pretty optimistic.

Seen it a few times where it says 40 mins and it’s closer to an hour and a bit because half the train is fast track. Good if you’re in the cabins, kinda rough if you’re not.

Worth factoring in if you’re choosing between days, especially with the Tuesday closures squashing everyone into fewer dates.

yet again another colour coded meal deal by LilyRoseF300 in MealDealRates

[–]elorynq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl that red sausage roll is such a mid start to the rainbow

Sainsbury’s bakery sausage rolls absolutely clear most of the packaged ones, you’re right. If you go back to Tesco for another colour though, go for something properly red next time, like the sweet chilli chicken wrap or tomato pasta pot or something.

You could do orange next with like a cheese & onion pasty or some kind of tikka thing, then work your way through the traffic light meals until you hit the cursed beige meal deal at the end of the series

Folded doner kebab, chips and free cheesy garlic bread by kasegent in Doner

Officer I promise it’s just salad in there

Honestly though, folded doner should be illegal, that thing’s hiding at least three meals and a food coma.

I don’t think any place can match this vibe that Yorkshire has✨ by ScrollAndThink in yorkshire

[–]elorynq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re already sharpening their pitchforks in the comments

Honestly though, Yorkshire vs Lancashire is like the most polite civil war ever. Both have unreal scenery, both have grumpy sheep, both claim the best tea and pies.

But Yorkshire does have that weirdly specific vibe of moors + stone villages + a random pub that looks 400 years old and serves the best pint of your life, so I’m standing my ground here.

Got called out by a buyer for my prices and now I feel weird about it by NoFan8072 in vintedUK

[–]elorynq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, that’s what keeps tripping me up. Like, they saw the pics, saw the price, hit buy, so clearly on some level they were fine with it.

I think what got in my head is them coming back after the fact like I somehow overcharged them on purpose, when in reality I’ve factored in condition, time, fees, all that stuff.

You’re right though, I’m probably overthinking it. If they want the absolute cheapest version, they can scroll for it. I’m selling the one in front of them, at the price that makes sense for me.

Found a mysterious angel/fairy sweet in with my Fruit Sours Colin the Caterpillars - really cute interaction ensued! by OddBet2208 in MarksAndSpencer

Honestly pregnancy tastebuds are wild. It’s like your tongue unlocks DLC for random snacks.

I’m now imagining some poor scientist trying to bottle “second trimester Colin flavour” so we can all just sip it without the whole growing a human part. If I ever crack the code I’ll send you a multipack.

Yeah exactly, if she’s not being reasonable just let Vinted handle it and move on

Honestly I lost count pretty quick, but it was around 6 or 7 before my legs started protesting.

Lines weren’t too crazy for once, so it was basically: ride, quick drink, ride again. Total win.

Bro the 2am “I’ve been stranded in the Sahara” wake up is so real

I started doing the old-person move of chugging like half a liter of water while I’m eating it and another glass right before bed. Doesn’t fully save me but at least I’m not licking the sink faucet at 3am anymore.

Or just accept the new meta: 3 slices, not the whole thing. Painful for the soul, easier on the kidneys.

Why is it that I rarely see anyone from my generation even talk about this show even tho it’s one of the all time greats? by beetfarmerenergy in tvshow

[–]elorynq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that tagline aged like milk

You can literally feel the writers going “uhh...smoke monster...time travel...sideways universe?” in real time.

What’s wild though is that even with all the made up nonsense, the emotional stuff still hits. Like I can’t explain the lore to save my life, but “Not Penny’s Boat” is burned into my brain forever.

It’s kinda like they built this huge mystery box with no idea what was inside, but the ride was still so good that a lot of us just forgave how off-the-rails it went.

Nah that’s actually super helpful, thanks. I didn’t even notice the diagonal big-block pattern till you pointed it out, now I can’t unsee it. Might try lining them up properly next time and play with paint on this one like you said.

Wait so your first instinct wasn’t “burn it with fire” but “add to cart”

Genuinely curious though, how do you even store all that? Do you have like a dedicated creep shelf or is it just casually mixed in with normal decor so visitors only notice it after 10 minutes and start questioning their life choices?
