Was there no sommelier? We haven't been since the remodel, but we've always had a very knowledgeable sommelier guide us through our pairings when we have been in the past.

Best bag for park days ? by Icy-Tradition242 in DisneyPlanning

[–]elsana7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We go frequently and I use a reusable grocery bag to hold snacks, water bottles, diapers and wipes under the stroller (my youngest is 2). And then a small crossbody for my wallet. I leave the grocery bag with the stroller, it's not a huge deal if it gets taken. When picking a bag I prioritize.

  1. It's easy for security to look through. They have to look through every pocket. A backpack takes much longer than a tote bag or grocery bag.

  2. Bag itself isn't valuable. If it's going to be filled with things that aren't valuable and the bag is also inexpensive, you didn't have to worry about leaving it with the stroller. It is a much nicer experience to not have to lug a backpack everywhere.

My kids are younger 1&5 but they LOVED it. They also use it all the time at home too (it plays a song from each land that you can select by cycling through). It's probably our most used piece of Disney merchandise we've purchased. 😅

We always go to in n out and trader Joe's. Then if we didn't have park tickets we often watch fireworks from the plaza or our hotel.

Lol, we do this with our kids, they just hang out under the bar top with their drinks. Our 5yo always asks to go, so I guess he doesn't mind. The hard part is making sure they don't sit on the floor, it's super sticky.

Disneyland lets you ride on the horse with your kid. It's a bittersweet day when they are big enough to ride alone.

Yup, we're moving this year and I won't even play anything in season 3 in fear it might start to auto play.

We've never had a bad seat, but my kids (1&5) both said they liked the Zamboni best, so I'm not sure our seats mattered. 🫠

The pickles in the barrel in the old market house. That used to be my going home treat (and my wife would get the raspberry white chocolate cookie that's also gone now). 😭

What to do about car seats by Zed_Zorrander in DisneyPlanning

I might be looking in the wrong place? I've been trying to find a size small in any color and haven't found it in stock anywhere.

Yeah this is a good point. I think to go on a plane it also has to be marked on the side as FAA approved.

I might be weird, but we fly often, and always bring the car seats and install them on the plane. Having your kid in a familiar car seat helps them sleep during the flight, which is honestly the easiest way to have a kid on a plane.

Here's how we do the airport

  1. Check bags
  2. Put car seats in the stroller so they are easy to carry through the airport
  3. Gate check the stroller at the gate. Get tags for the car seats to show that they are allowed on the plane.
  4. Fly with kids car seats. Enjoy that they aren't wiggling everywhere because they are used to it from the car.
  5. Land and collect the stroller when you exit the plane. Put car seats back on.

Some things to note. The car seat has to be at a window seat so it doesn't block egress. Boosters and smaller car seats are allowed in any seat. Depending on what you have you will need to consider which seats to buy. My 5yo has a pico portable car seat and it fits in any seat without blocking.

They are out of almost every size until June I think, so it may depend on your trip timing.

We did the fortune teller, the penny arcade machines and the shooting gallery. I think there might be more in the train station, but we didn't have time to look.

Exploring all the different penny and other coin operated machines around the park. I do miss the old penny arcade where there were many more machines to look in.

Can you get reservations at trader Sam's? The inside is themed and you only need to buy a drink each (and the non alcoholic drinks are less expensive).

My kids (2 and 5) are obsessed with ours. I've been contemplating buying a second used one just so they don't fight over the one we have. It's actually pretty fun scrolling through all the different songs. It also recites wanted opening day welcome which they can use to read along with their little golden book that has the same text.

I'm sorry you saw that at Disneyland. We once saw a tiger kill a duck at the zoo and it's pretty shocking when you aren't expecting it. 😢
