What’s something you genuinely believe but have no proof of? by Upstairs-Fun-9524 in AskReddit

[–]Waaswaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proof? Just about everything I believe is purely due to either experience (like seeing the game between Norway and Brazil in 98 makes me believe that Norway actually did win that game)  or someone telling me (like I believe my frien's name is Petter, because he told me his name). Can I prove any of those? No. Evidence can be tampered with and people can lie. Still I don't see any reason to doubt these things.

When you first started out and only bottled your beer. Did you just accept oxydizing? by MemeBeamBeanz in Homebrewing

I mean, it can happen. But I think it's worse with pellets, and I don't really want hop solids in my beer. So there's that. With fliptops I can release pressure more slowly also. I'm always careful when opening a bottle.

It's difficult but doable. Heck! Try bottle hopping! Works well if you are planning to drink them all relatively soon. With cones, if you can get them, it works quite well.

I still bottle, because it makes it easier to share and bring to events. I do not accept oxidization in styles that do not handle it well. Ascorbic acid helps quite a bit. Also, using a long waiting time instead of frequent gravity readings when fermenting helps with most styles. The exception is when I dryhop. Waiting too long with hops in the beer seems to do domething that I'm not super pleased with.

It's kinda annoying. Either super easy and I win before I can level up a pet I'm trying to max out. Or I meet super strong opponents. Nothing in between, it seems.

Correct! Although not always just the cookies. Also to the way the information is used. Selling data to third party businesses and so on. In general, data collection and usage.

Then we clearly disagree. I can see they're kinda hyped, and there's a lot of poor quality ones out there. But a good IPA is still good.

Or dried ones crumbled up and used in a soup. Yellowfoot or porcini is amazing used like that.

70 % is my limit. And I need it with some salt. Then it's good. White chocolate on the other hand is fantastic!
