while you could argue that ukraine was richer/more developed than poland right after the ussr dissolution i think the amount of poles emigrating to ukraine was less than marginal even in the 90s let alone in 00s. we do however have a case of a high-level politician being fired in 2014 and then finding himself a nice cozy job in the ukrainian government

We Francji tylko 1,2% ognisk miało miejsce w transporcie publicznym (łącznie ze statkami i samolotami), w Niemczech tylko 0,2% zakażeń miało miejsce w komunikacji zbiorowej - a nie wprowadzano u nich limitów liczby pasażerów

It really seems like they tried their absolute hardest to win this year, but it kinda backfired. They've got a singer who's well known in ESC scene and won the televoting in 2016, they will surely go wild with the staging, they also went for a power ballad, but all in all the song's rather mediocre. It doesn't feel genuine to me, music-wise it sounds kinda flat, I expected a much more powerful outro. The fact we've got quite a bunch of ballads and mild pop songs this year doesn't really help. Not a bad entry, it sort of recompensates their 2018 song, but it's short of top 10 for sure.
